Mechanical Joint Flange Adapter
A true stab-fit for connecting plain end pipe to flanged end pipe
• Sizes 3" - 12"
• A true stab-fi t, no disassembly required
• Two closed starter lugs
• Tee-head bolt-stops on sleeve to ease installation
• All ductile iron components are standard with epoxy coating
• For ductile iron pipe, PVC, steel, or SDR 35 sewer pipe applications
• Includes the versatile SO-EZ pre-lubricated gasket
• 2:1 safety factor at the full rated pressure of the pipe on which it is installed
• Over 2" of pipe insertion adjustment allows for uneven pipe cuts and pipe defl ection
Flange end has two closed starter
lugs. This allows the coupling to
remain in position while assembling
the remaining bolts.
Bolt-stop prevents tee-head bolt
from turning during installation.

The MJFA is an unrestrained coupling and does not provide protection against possible pipe pullout. If restraint is
required the RFAD Style should be used on ductile iron applications. Restraint applications for C900, IPS PVC,
steel, C909 or SDR35 pipe should use the RFAP Style.
