Venus ® Diamond
The Diamond Formula
Venus ® Diamond’s mechanical advantages
are measurably better.
Both graphs demonstrate the extremely good mechanical
properties of Venus ® Diamond composite compared to other
commonly used products. It is ahead of these competitors.
None of them can offer the unique combination of minimal
shrinkage stress as well as high strength.
The result: Venus ®
Diamond is more flexible under stress
and also more durable over time.
A superior material for superior results.
Excellent strength, low shrinkage stress
Highest wear resistance and durability
Due to the fact that the chemical formula of Venus ® Diamond
is completely new, the material also reacts in a special way:
Its unique molecular structure combines extremely high durability
on the one hand with minimal shrinkage on the other.
The unique structure of Venus ® Diamond provides you excellent
handling characteristics. You will instantly feel the difference.
By combining different particle sizes, optimum filler
packing density and content is achieved which leads to high
wear resistance. The use of nanoparticles enables perfect
colour adaptation, ease of polish and an extremely high, long
lasting shine.
Venus ® Diamond
The Diamond Effect
Beauty and Brilliance, as Nature Intended
It is not just about Different Colours.
It’s a Different Concept.
Venus ® Diamond adapts uniquely to the surrounding after curing.
This superior effect is tested and proven with more than 6.000 restorations.
Venus ® Diamond A2
Venus ®
Diamond has unique characteristics for superior
colour adaptation. The refraction index of the fillers and
matrix are perfectly aligned. The effect – virtually undetectable
restorative margins.
The material takes up the colour of the surrounding hard
tooth substance in a unique way and offers a completely
natural look. The ultrafine filling particles allow you to
achieve the best possible polish which is comparable to
natural enamel.
C2 Reference material
To show the effect of adaptation a filling with Venus ®
Diamond A2 in a surrounding C2 reference was realized.
Venus Diamond is virtually undetectable in this test due
a material with minor colour adaptation would show as a
bright filling.
Venus ® Diamond
The Diamond Layer
Recreate Nature – with Three Levels of Translucency.
Universal shades
3 Levels of translucency guide
The beauty of layers:
By applying the Venus ®
Diamond layering technique, you
can gain all the aesthetic advantages. By individually layering
opaque dentine, universal and incisal shades you will
achieve natural looking restorations that blend perfectly
with your patients’ dentition – the way nature intended.
Opaque dentine shades
For replicating the opacity of dentine or for covering
discoloured teeth:
OL (Opaque Light)
OM (Opaque Medium)
OD (Opaque Dark)
Chromatic opaque dentine shades
For covering amalgam tattoos and discoloured teeth eth and
restoring dark class V cases.
OLC (Opaque Light Chromatic)
OM (Opaque Medium Chromatic)
OD (Opaque Dark Chromatic)
OXDC (Opaque Extra Dark Chromatic)
For high aesthetic results.
Universal shades possess colour intensities of medium
translucency and are available in a large range. They can be
used with or without additional layering and can be com-
bined with dentine and/or incisal shades.
Incisal shades
The perfect finish for your restorations.
These incisal shades have the highest translucency cy and
the
lowest colour intensity. CL (Clear) and AM (Amber) are layered
over the universal shades to create a more natural,
life-like appearance.
With the aid of the special incisal materials CO (Clear Opal)
and YO (Yellow Opal) you can obtain the highest possible
aesthetics due to the intrinsic opalescence of these shades.
Bleach materials
Beyond the classic colour scale.
These shades of various opacity have been designed to allow
for excellent colour matching especially after bleaching treatments.
The three Venus ®
Diamond translucencies perfectly replicate
the varying structures of the natural dentition when
used, as noted above. Our recent field study showed: 96%
of dentists participating were enthusiastic about the colour
match. See page 13.
