Raleigh RM6 "Pop", reg 28th April 1967, "E", black, new MoT
(expires 11th September 2012), cosmetically unrestored but
complete and in tidy usable condition. Original specification
with working lights, a few mechanical parts were replaced for
the MoT. The bike starts easily, goes well and will tick-over

Sparta Lucky 1971, all working, has NACC dating cert and
did have an MoT and insurance but ran out before I managed
to register it. Painted in a military colour with a metal box
pannier with blue light. Was set up for single handed
operation, controls on LHS with linked brakes and thumb
operated throttle. Dutchman suggested this was to allow the
rider to use their side arm whilst still in pursuit of a vehicle
which must be absolute bo***cks. The linked brake lever is
still there but I've added a lever to the RHS and swopped one
brake cable over as it confused me when riding. It starts and
runs well, lovely lovely Sachs engine and, though not well
known here are big in the flatlands of Europe. The little yellow
number plate on the front mudguard shows it was a Dutch
moped where the English speaking moped shop owners (and
Sparta club) will gladly sell you everything. The only part
missing seems to be the LHS plastic cover. £150 or exchange

Hi everyone,
Recently passed Module 1 on my MZ and going to get Mod 2
done soon so would like to start looking into a bigger bike,
although the MZ will be staying.
I have decided that the next bike has GOT to be a Honda
CX500 (or similar: GL500 or anything of the range). They
offer everything I want and need: sensible, cheap transport
that will cover the many long trips I will be making in the new
year and at the same time I think they're very pretty and sound
great. So, if anyone reading this has a CX that they would
consider selling then I'd be very interested to hear about it!
Ideally I'd like something mechanically sound, MoT would be
good but not essential; I would consider anything. Even if you
have a basket case, it'd be great for you to get in touch; I
enjoy working on bikes so as long as it's not rotting away then
I'd be able to have it back on the road.
Price wise, £400 would probably be my upper limit considering
the majority of MoT'd CXs tend to sell around the mark on the
net but, of course, less is good and leaves me more money to
spend on tidying the bike up and then petrol!
