all the help we can get, and
sometimes it comes when
we least expect it. If you are
having a problem with sharpening
or choice of a tool, for
example, hopefully wone of us
“old timers” can provide some
insight in solving it. So, bring
your questions, problem tools,
and ideas, and be prepared to
advance your woodturning
skills…
Because we are always in
need of inspiration, I’m going
to borrow from Mark Baker
--- “it can come from many directions,
but what you do with
it can only come from you,”
This Summer offers so many
chances for us to grab some
inspirational opportunities …
1.) Our Annual Picnic – with
the turned objects raffle and
the contest of Turnings with
surface embellishments.
2.) Utah Symposium – with
many of the best in our field,
demonstrating their specialties.
3.) AAW Symposium – again,
many of the best doing their
own magic.
4.) Last but not least –our own
Mini-Symposium – many of
our local excellent turners will
share their secrets with us, as
will Molly Winton.
