• GENERAL<br />

This <strong>GS</strong> (General Specifications) describes the specifications of the UOI Integration Package, which provides an<br />

integrated operation between General Electric Company SPEEDTRONIC Mark VI / Mark V Turbine Control System<br />

and YOKOGAWA CENTUM CS 3000 System (hereafter referred to as CS 3000) - a control system for HRSG (Heat<br />

Recovery Steam Generator) and BOP (Balance of Plant) auxiliaries - using GE Fanuc CIMPLICITY HMI System<br />

as an operator interface used in the common platform for control applications at combined cycle power generation<br />

plants. The common platform concept, called Unified Operator Interface (UOI), provides uniformity of operation<br />

across the HRSG/BOP and Turbine Controls. This is achieved through direct access to Turbine Displays and Data/<br />

Messages through the unique UOI concept.<br />

• STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS<br />

• Feature<br />

The UOI system employs a Server/Client (Viewer) architecture, which is the core technology of the UOI system, and<br />

provides functions such as data access, alarm and message management and Tag/Object conversion by using GE<br />

Fanuc CIMPLICITY HMI System. General Electric Company PEECC Server/Client (Viewer) also employs the same<br />

CIMPLICITY HMI system and UOI Viewers can access both UOI Server and PEECC Server as a common HMI platform.<br />

By installing CS 3000 Control Bus Interface Card and UOI Integration Package in the UOI Server, it can access to<br />

CS 3000 FCS as a primary HMI interface of HRSG/BOP operation. It also supports a dual redundant configuration to<br />

provide a highly reliable system.<br />

Since the UOI Server is configured independently from the PEECC Server, the operation can be integrated on the UOI<br />

Viewers via Plant Data Highway without affecting the Turbine Control system.<br />

• CS 3000 FCS<br />

Field Control Stations (FCS) are connected to the UOI<br />

Server PCs and the CS 3000 Builder PC. CS 3000<br />

FCS(s) provide control functions for HRSG/BOP operation.<br />

• UOI Viewer PC Functions<br />

UOI Viewer PCs are connected to the UOI Server<br />

PC(s) via Plant Data Highway (Ethernet) and provides<br />

operation and monitoring functions for CS 3000’s FCS<br />

and SPEEDTRONIC Mark VI / Mark V.<br />

CIMPLICITY HMI System is configured of UOI Viewers<br />

(Client) as its platform.<br />

UOI Viewer also provides the following functions and<br />

components and can create the monitoring and operation<br />

functions, such as Graphics, Trend Chart, Alarm<br />

Viewer, Faceplate, Data Entry Dialog Box, by utilizing<br />

the following functions.<br />

- HMI client connection and login function<br />

- CIMPLICITY data server client-side function<br />

- Graphic viewer function<br />

- Interactive ActiveX alarm viewing object<br />

- Interactive ActiveX object for viewing trend data<br />

- ActiveX object for plotting multiple X-Y data<br />

- Visual Basic for applications scripting language<br />

• UOI Server PC Functions<br />

UOI Server PC(s) are connected to the CS 3000<br />

FCS(s) via Control Bus for device communication and<br />

provides the following data access services:<br />

- HMI client connection management<br />

- Data access security functions<br />

- Data routing and change management<br />

- Alarm/event notification and routing<br />

- Alarm state management (Acknowledgment/Reset/<br />

Deletion)<br />

- Trend data buffering<br />

In addition to the above, the following functions are<br />

provided as the UOI system for CS 3000 FCS’ data<br />

integration.<br />

- FCS tag data to CIMPLICITY point data mapping<br />

- FCS process data communications<br />

- FCS message management<br />

- FCS alarm/event to CIMPLICITY alarm/event mapping<br />

CIMPLICTY HMI System is also configured of UOI<br />

Server(s) as its platform.<br />

• Integrated Data and Messages<br />

UOI System provides a Server/Client architecture using<br />

GE Fanuc CIMPLICITY HMI System:<br />

The data and messages from the SPEEDTRONIC<br />

Mark VI / Mark V and CS 3000 FCS can be displayed<br />

on UOI Viewers. Various operations, such as displaying<br />

data on graphic screen, displaying messages on<br />

alarm window, assigning data on trend chart, can be<br />

integrated on the UOI Viewers.<br />

• CS 3000 FCS Builder Functions<br />

The CS 3000 FCS Builder functions provide configuration<br />

and maintenance of FCS using the CS 3000<br />

Standard Builder Function software package installed<br />

in the CS 3000 Builder PC.<br />

For the tuning of control functions, it requires CS 3000<br />

Operation & Monitoring Standard Function software<br />

package in the CS 3000 Builder PC.<br />

The configuration procedure and control functions are<br />

the same as CS 3000 specified under the Software<br />

Requirements in this <strong>GS</strong>.<br />

• Station Configuration on CS 3000<br />

In the station configuration on CS 3000, the UOI Server<br />

PC is assigned as a UHMIS station and the CS 3000<br />

Builder PC is assigned as an HIS station.<br />

• Tag/Object Conversion Function<br />

This function is one of the utilities included in this package.<br />

It converts the Tag List generated by CS 3000<br />

Builder to the configuration used for CIMPLICITY Objects<br />

(Tag Common Attributes) and CIMPLICITY Points<br />

(Data Item Attributes). This tool runs on the UOI Server<br />

PC. When the Tag List is changed in the CS 3000<br />

Builder PC, it must be equalized to the UOI Server’s<br />

Project Database using this conversion tool.<br />

• ProSafe-RS Integration<br />

UOI system is capable to monitor data on ProSafe-<br />

RS system. It handles data on Safety Control Station<br />

(SCS) as equivalent as data on FCS throughout CS<br />

3000 integration capability with ProSafe-RS system.<br />

UOI Tag/Object Conversion Function generates CIM-<br />

PLICITY Objects and Points from SCS Tag List.<br />

systems for CS 3000, including CIMPLICITY HMI, are<br />
