1878 Nursing in Cyprus • Historically there is no evidence of Nursing Education and Nursing Practice in Cyprus, prior to its occupation by the British in 1878. • The immediate need for the provision of healthcare was identified and hospitals were built urgently in every district and nurses and doctors were recruited from England.
