welcome
Dear Race Fans,
We’re anxiously anticipating your arrival at the Monster Mile in just a few
short weeks for what promises to be another exciting race weekend, highlighted
by Sunday’s third event in the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
Though early in the Chase, Dover has proven itself quite telling in how
the final standings will shake out in the championship battle. Look no further
than Brad Keselowski’s win here last fall, which served as a springboard toward
his first Series title. So when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series comes to the
Monster Mile for the Sunday, Sept. 29 “AAA 400,” you can expect to see the
title contenders giving their all to try and capture some of the momentum the
No. 2 team picked up in the First State a year ago.
Before Sunday, though, you’ll have the chance to see some great late-season action in both the Saturday,
Sept. 28 NASCAR Nationwide Series and Friday, Sept. 27 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races.
Make sure to read up on our gate admission policies on pages 9 and 11 of this Fan Guide. As some of you
know, there were clusters and, in some places, lengthy backups at the gates during admission to the June 2 race
this past spring. We’ve worked to correct that, and on these pages you can find some helpful hints on how to ease
the process of getting through the gate..
With the 2014 season just around the corner, we’re making a few changes to our renewal deadline schedule
to make planning for the races easier for you, as well as give you more of a chance to save on your tickets with
our three-tier pricing program. Turn to pages 13 and 14 to learn more.
We hope you enjoy your race weekend with us and we can’t wait to see you back at the Monster Mile in 2014.
Sincerely,
Denis McGlynn
TICKET INFORMATION
2014 Ticket Renewals
Beginning with 2014 ticket renewals, Dover is adjusting its schedule to make renewal deadlines easier for
fans. Like always, customers who purchase a permanent reserved seat for a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race
are provided with the opportunity to renew that same seat location for the same race the following year.
Customers who purchased tickets to the June 2, 2013 event have until Nov. 21, 2013 to reserve their same
seat, while those that purchased tickets to the Sept. 29, 2013 race have until January 22, 2014 to reserve
their same seat. Lock in your seats by our Preferred Pricing deadline and you can save up to $39 in some
sections. See page 14 for more information on these savings.
You can also still bring your payment with you to the event and put the deposit down to reserve your
same seats for 2014.
Ticket holders may renew any of the following ways:
• Online at DoverSpeedway.com
• Fax to 302-672-0100
• Mail to Dover International Speedway, P.O. Box 843, Dover, DE 19903-0843
• Stop by the Dover ticket office
• Call 800-441-7223 or 302-734-7223
Requests for a change in seat location are processed based on the date of your renewal payment.
Requests for relocation are only accepted with an accompanying deposit and must be in writing.
The earlier you pay your deposit, the better your chance of receiving your desired location! Because we
do not know who will be renewing or relocating, we cannot guarantee specific locations… BUT your
chances are far better than waiting until after the renewal period. Once all relocation requests have been
processed, a statement will be mailed to your home.
Junior Tickets (ages 14 and younger)
For just $10, juniors can come to a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race and sit in sections 192-227 and
112-144, as well as rows 1-25 of section 110. For Friday and Saturday races, junior tickets are just $8
in all available grandstand sections. Junior tickets must be accompanied by the purchase of at least
one adult ticket.
Alcohol- and Tobacco-Free Sections
Dover International Speedway is again offering patrons the option of seven alcohol- and tobacco-free
seating sections in our grandstands for the Sunday, Sept. 29 “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
While we permit smoking and drinking in most of our grandstands at the Monster Mile, we understand
some of our fans might want to get away from those things, so we’ve made these sections available.
13
2014 TICKET PRICING
Dover International Speedway will again be featuring its three-tier ticket pricing program for both the
spring and fall NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in 2014. The program offers the lowest prices to customers
that purchase their tickets the earliest.
Fans that purchase their tickets to the spring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the Monster Mile by
Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 will fall within the Preferred Pricing tier, guaranteeing them the absolute best
prices the track will offer for the race. Beyond that date, fans will have until four weeks out from race
weekend to take advantage of still-discounted ticket prices in the Value Pricing tier. In those final four
weeks, tickets will reach the Event Pricing tier. It’s a simple, “Buy Early. Save More!” philosophy.
The same applies for the fall 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, with fans having until Wednesday, Jan.
22, 2014 to take advantage of Preferred Pricing. As in the spring, fall prices will stay in the Value Pricing
period from Jan. 23 to four weeks out from the race, and then hit Event Pricing.
Design-It-Yourself Payment Plan
With the return of the three-tier pricing program, the Monster Mile is again offering customers the
chance to pay for their tickets on their own schedule with the “Design-It-Yourself” payment plan. As long
Tailgating Guidelines
Dover International Speedway permits patrons to tailgate on property; however, there are a few simple rules we ask our great
fans to follow. Only bring to your tailgate what can fit in your vehicle. This includes items like portable grills, shade tents and other
standard tailgating items. No vehicle extensions! To ensure that each fan enjoys their tailgate and space is equally distributed to our
patrons, we ask that no extensions (i.e., trailers) be added to vehicles to carry extra items. This allows each customer a right to the
space for which they paid and helps make sure everyone in the lot is granted equal space to tailgate. Be neighborly! Tailgating is a
community activity, so be courteous to your neighbor. It makes the experience that much more enjoyable for everyone.
Text message your
concerns on race weekend
Dover International Speedway has implemented a helpful service for fans on race
weekend — text messaging.
We all know how difficult it can be to communicate when the roar of 43 stock cars
rumble down the front stretch… Text messaging makes it easier to communicate
emergencies that require our attention during the event weekend. By sending a
text message to a dedicated number, you’ll be able to let us know that you need help.
Standard text messaging rates apply.
Text messaging offers guests a discreet
and instant way to alert venue
personnel when problems arise at
Dover International Speedway.
Some concerns that can now
be shared by text message:
• Seating discrepancies
• Spills
• Maintenance issues
• Unruly fan behavior
Need Assistance
