15.4.5 Connect Message<br />
On completion of the link layer procedures the Gateways indicate to each other their local modem<br />
parameters using the CONNECT message. This message contains information about the local<br />
modem modulation, data-signalling rate, error correction and compression selection and<br />
parameters.<br />
