9. Besides the usual 9 th or 10 th houses, the following are to be noted for queries
regarding father:— Mars in the 4 th , father dies in 9 th year and mother sickly;
Budha in the 4 th , happiness from father and mother; Ravi in the 6 th , father a
non-entity ; Mars in the 8 th , affliction to father.

10. Besides the 4 th house, the following are to be noted for queries regarding
mother:—Budha in the 5 th confers happiness from mother; Sukra in the 8 th ,
danger to mother in the 4 th year; Moon in the 9 th , afflicted, death to parents
early.
11. Besides the usual 5 th house, the following are to be noted for queries regarding
children:—Ravi in lagna, no issues; this means that during the bhava dasa
period of Ravi in lagna, the native will lose a son. It does not mean that he will
ever be sonless. Mars in lagna, will have children; Guru in lagna, many sons;
Budha in the 2 nd , a large number of sons; Guru in 2 nd , native gets children and
lands in 25 th year; Mars in the 6 th , a number of sons; Sukra in the 6 th , children
and grandchildren; Sukra in the 7 th , no sons if afflicted; Ravi in the 8 th , few
sons; Mars in the 8 th , few sons; Budha in the 8 th , seven sons. Budha in the 7 th ,
many children; Ravi in the 9 th , good children and wife; Moon in the 9 th , a
fortunate son ; Sukra in the 9 th , wife and sons ; Moon in the 11 th , generally
many sons after 50 th year. Rahu or Kethu in the 12 th very few sons. In all
these cases, the results of the combination happen in the bhava dasa of the
planet.
12. Regarding native's own illness or otherwise—from the 6 th or 8 th house, the
following are to be noted besides the usual ones:—Ravi in lagna, generally
healthy; if afflicted, fever in the 3 rd year; Mars in lagna, some wound in the
body, suffers from different diseases, also eye defects; Ravi in the 3 rd ,
affliction to body in the 3 rd , 5 th or 8 th year; Mars in the 5 th , dangerous for life
in the 6 th year. Ravi in 2 nd , facial disease; Budha in the 2 nd , windy diseases if
afflicted; Mars in the 2 nd , if joined by lord of 6 th , swellings of the eye; Sukra
in the 2 nd , and 2 nd lord weak, abnormality of the eye; Sani in the 2 nd , eye
disease during Sani bhava dasa ; Rahu or Kethu in the 2 nd , affliction to body.
13. Regarding queries of brothers or sisters, besides the usual 3 rd house, the
following have been noted by the sage:—Budha in lagna, death of brothers in
7 th or 10 th year; Sukra in the 4 th , happiness from brothers; Moon in the 6 th ,
brother dies if afflicted by Rahu or Kethu. (It does not mean that the native will
have no brothers); Mars in the 10 th , brothers will be long-lived.
