Yogis Gone Wild? Yoga & Wine Event at DC Ranch, Jan 28
The DC Ranch Village yoga community recently gathered for a themed Flow class
taught by Samantha Lang, followed by a guided wine tasting by club member and
professional wine distributor, Craig Dziadowicz. “Detox / Retox” provided a fun and
educational opportunity to draw parallels between the yogic experience of heightened
physical awareness and the mindful experience of tasting the complexities of wine.
The group packed the yoga studio to capacity, allowing for a great detox—deep
breathing, twisting, lifting, and sweating it out for 75 minutes. After class, participants
assembled in the conference room to taste four Italian wines carefully selected by
Dziadowicz to match the flow and progression of a yoga class. Members and guests
took full advantage of gaining new wine knowledge from our on-hand expert, as they
enjoyed a special Saturday afternoon of yoga, wine, and socializing.
Verrado’s 8th Anniversary Party
Verrado Village Club celebrated its 8th Anniversary Party
with a country/western party on Feb 11. The Desert Knights
provided live entertainment while members had their choice of gambling
and/or dancing the night away. Congratulations Verrado Village for
another great year!
Verrado Founder’s Day
The community of Verrado celebrated Founder’s Day the weekend of March 31. To
celebrate, the Verrado Village Club sponsored the Rock ‘N Walk Saturday morning
for all Executive and Community members. After the obstacle course around the
neighborhood, everyone gathered in Founder’s Park for raffle prizes.
That night Andy Grammar, the singer, songwriter, and musician
known for his vibrant pop/rock/soul mix, performed to a large crowd.
Named one of Billboard’s 2011 Artists to Watch, the singer/musician/
composer entertained the crowd with his hits “Keep Your Head Up”
and “Fine By Me” among others.
