MAN provided <strong>the</strong> Deutsche Weinkesselgesellschaft Kitzingen and o<strong>the</strong>r companies in Europe with a total of 553 wine tank wagons - 180 vehicles were in closed version.<br />

A series of OM-gondolas was built in solid steel from 1905 until 1910 <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Bavarian State Railways. Because <strong>the</strong> gondolas could not tilt <strong>the</strong>y were not used throughout <strong>the</strong> country.<br />
The primary use <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> vehicles was <strong>the</strong> transportation of coal. Some rare gondolas survived <strong>the</strong> Second World War <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> most part at industrial railways.
