Horse Drawn Carriage Rides

7 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m., Whether it’s a romantic carriage

ride for two or a charming holiday carriage ride for the

family, treat yourself to a new Sea Island experience this

holiday season. Meet at the front of The Cloister where

you will be greeted by your tuxedo-clad carriage driver.

Enjoy a 45-minute ride. Carriage rides available for up

to four passengers. $200/two passengers; $225/three

passengers; $250/four passengers. Private carriage rides

available for two for $250. Service charge additional.

Sippin’ at Sunset in The Cloister Colonial Lounge,

5:30–8:30 p.m. Join celebrated pianist Jackie Monroe as

she sets the mood to gather and toast the day. Cash bar

Southern Tide Seafood Buffet, 5:30–9:30 p.m. Celebrate

the traditions of Sea Island with our seafood extravaganza!

Her Royal Highness, Princess Cloister, would like to

Calling all pirates for some swashbuckling fun. Join

Broadfield Continental Pheasant Shoot, 12–2 p.m. Jon

Kent, Director of Outdoor Pursuits, and the Broadfield

staff invite you to a Continental Pheasant Shoot. Lunch

will be served at noon. Shooting begins at 1 p.m. Space

is limited to 20 participants. $300/shooter. Two shooters

per blind. Single reservations will be paired up by the

Broadfield staff. Casual. Reservations required.

Gini Priest Presents Cupping: What in the World

3:30 p.m. There is so much buzz about the Chinese

medicine method of cupping. See a demonstration and

learn what uses it has in the body. This ancient method

has been used by almost all cultures in the world. Come

New Year’s Eve at Tavola, 5:30–10 p.m. Add a bit of

Italy to your New Year’s Eve this year. Enjoy a fabulous

á la carte menu featuring specials for the holiday. Live

music. Reservations required.

New Year’s Eve at Colt & Alison, 5:30–9:30 p.m. Start

your celebration by dining at Colt & Alison. Chef de

Cuisine, Shane Whiddon, will be sure to delight your

palate with his á la carte culinary creations! Jackets

required. Reservations required.

Children’s Dinner and New Year’s Eve Bash at the

Meeting Place, 6 p.m.–1 a.m. Calling all children of Sea

Island for a fun-filled night to welcome in the New Year!

$95/child includes dinner, activities and games. Children

must be at least three years old and fully potty trained to

participate. Reservations required.

New Year’s Eve Dinner in the Georgian Room,

Celebrate the evening in true five-star fashion prepared by

Chef Daniel Zeal. Choose a four-course meal beginning

at 6 p.m. for $105/person or a five-course meal beginning

at 9 p.m. for $135/person. Wine pairings not included.

New Year’s Eve Family Celebration at the Beach Club,

6–10 p.m. Get ready to party the night away with friends

and family in a casual and fun setting before going to

The Cloister to watch the fireworks at midnight! Live

New Year’s Eve Party Central— The Cloister Ballroom,

9–11:45 p.m. Enjoy dinner on your own, then join the

fun in the Ballroom, where The Voltage Brothers entertain

with music that crosses all generations. Come as you are

to sit back and listen or dance your way toward midnight!

New Year’s Eve Party in the Colonial Lounge, 9 p.m.–

1:30 a.m. This is the best party in town! Join the Equinox

Polar Bear Plunge, 9 a.m. Welcome the first morning

of the new year with a refreshing dip in the Atlantic

reservations also require cancellations by 5 p.m. the day prior to avoid

charges. Charter fishing cruises require earlier notice to avoid penalty;

please confirm cancellation policy when making your boating or fishing

reservations. For dining, six-hour notice is required or a $25/person fee

will be charged in each restaurant. Georgian Room and Colt & Alison

will charge $50/person for less than six-hour notice. Holiday dining,

including Plantation Supper, requires 48-hour notice to avoid penalty.

Camp Cloister Join the Junior Staff in our Winter Wonderland where

fun is in full swing! Monday–Saturday (excluding Christmas Day,)

9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. for ages 3–8 at The Meeting Place. Reservations are

Club Sea Island Monday–Saturday (excluding Christmas Day,)

exclusively for pre-teens ages 9–12 looking for more advanced

FITNESS CLASSES Open Monday–Thursday, 6 a.m.–8 p.m.,

Friday–Saturday, 6 a.m.–7 p.m., and Sunday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. The

Fitness Center offers more than 35 fitness classes each week. For a

complete schedule of all daily classes please stop by the Fitness Desk

at the spa and pick up a quarterly schedule or call 912-634-4442 and

a Fitness Coordinator can describe the classes in more detail. Some

fitness classes require an additional fee.

PERSONAL TRAINING Let one of our Certified Personal

The Stables at Frederica offers riding for all experience levels, from

beginning to advanced. Beach Rides are offered Monday–Saturday.

Tiny Tykes Stables Tour and Saddle Up Horsemanship Clinic are

offered Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Ring Rides, Private Family

Horsemanship Experience, Wooded Trail Rides and Private Lessons

CRABBING AND FISHING ON THE CLOISTER DOCK

Open daily, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. The Cloister Dock is open and the Black

Banks River is teeming with crabs and fish. Families and kids are

invited to visit our headquarters beneath the Black Banks River

Terrace of The Cloister, throw a line or crab trap into the water and

enjoy the fun.

BEACH CLUB THEATER Take a break, relax and watch

a movie. $5/person includes movie, popcorn and soft drink.

Reservations required for all movies, 912-638-5111. Children under

the age of 8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian; the movie

is an unsupervised activity. Movies will be canceled two hours before

stated showing time if there are no reservations.
