Dear 2013 Graduate Parent(s) or Guardian(s):<br />
CONGRATULATIONS! In a few short weeks, your son/daughter will be graduating from Sahuaro High<br />
School. We are proud of your student’s accomplishments, <strong>and</strong> wish you <strong>and</strong> your family happiness in<br />
the future.<br />
The following in<strong>for</strong>mation will be shared with all seniors. Please call us if you have additional<br />
questions.<br />
Honors <strong>and</strong> Awards<br />
May 13, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium<br />
Baccalaureate<br />
• Baccalaureate, Friday, May 17 th , 6:00 p.m. in the Egbert Auditorium<br />
• Baccalaureate is <strong>for</strong> seniors graduating in May only!! It is an intimate time <strong>for</strong> seniors,<br />
their family, <strong>and</strong> friends to gather one last time. <strong>Senior</strong>s may sit with their senior friends.<br />
• The program includes music <strong>and</strong> student speakers.<br />
• Everyone is welcome.<br />
• <strong>Parents</strong> <strong>and</strong> guests should plan to arrive be<strong>for</strong>e 6:00 p.m.<br />
<strong>Senior</strong> Breakfast / Graduation Rehearsal<br />
• Thursday, May 23, 7:30 a.m., <strong>Senior</strong> Breakfast is in the cafeteria. The <strong>Senior</strong> Breakfast is only<br />
<strong>for</strong> graduating <strong>Senior</strong>s. <strong>Parents</strong> who wish to help with this event, please turn in the attached<br />
<strong>for</strong>m to the principal’s office. If you have any questions, please contact Eva Lange, <strong>Senior</strong> Class<br />
Sponsor @ 731-7103.<br />
• Thursday, May 23 rd , 8:30 to 10:00 a.m., Graduation Rehearsal will begin in the practice gym <strong>and</strong><br />
end on the football field.<br />
• <strong>Students</strong> must have their lockers cleaned <strong>and</strong> all outst<strong>and</strong>ing fees paid prior to Friday, May 17 th ,<br />
2013. Failure to pay fees will result in being restricted from the graduation ceremony.<br />
Fees may include books, library dues, athletic uni<strong>for</strong>ms, etc. (See Attached Board Policy<br />
JQ).<br />
• Graduates will be dismissed at approximately 10:30 a.m.<br />
• <strong>Students</strong>’ diplomas will have his/her official name as it appears on their birth certificate.<br />
Graduation<br />
• Thursday, May 23 rd , 7:30 p.m. in the stadium.<br />
• All guests are welcome. If you need h<strong>and</strong>icapped seating, please contact Carol Gallagher @<br />
731-7137. H<strong>and</strong>icapped seating is <strong>for</strong> a h<strong>and</strong>icapped person, <strong>and</strong> two other people to assist<br />
them. H<strong>and</strong>icapped parking is available in the administration parking lot. You must show either<br />
a h<strong>and</strong>icapped permit or have a h<strong>and</strong>icapped license plate. H<strong>and</strong>icapped parking will be in<br />
the North Lot in front of the Administration building. H<strong>and</strong>icapped spaces are limited.<br />
• The Practice Gym will be opened at 6:15 p.m. Graduates must report to the Practice Gym no<br />
later than 7:00 p.m. Once graduates have entered the Practice Gym, they must remain<br />
there. ONLY GRADUATES WILL BE ADMITTED INTO THE PRACTICE GYM.<br />
Family members, friends <strong>and</strong> relatives will not be allowed to enter the gym.
