The program is part of Robert Wood Johnson<br />

Foundation’s commitment to reverse the<br />

epidemic in the US by 2015.<br />

Supports local action to increase opportunities<br />

for physical activity and access to healthy,<br />

affordable foods for children and families.<br />

The goal is to catalyze policy and<br />

environmental changes that can make a lasting<br />

difference and be replicated across the country.<br />

First round:<br />

Leading Sites…15 invited, 9 funded<br />

4 year grant…$100,000 a year<br />

2009-2012<br />

Second round: 41 cities to be awarded December 2009
