RIDE FOR THE CAUSE: Do you enjoy going for a ride on your motorcycle<br />

or in your hot rod Would you like to combine the enjoyment<br />

of a ride with Christian worship, fellowship,& furthering<br />

God’s kingdom Join us at the Vermeer Pavilion in Pella on <strong>July</strong><br />

27. Registration begins at noon. All monies received will be used<br />

to purchase motorcycles for pastors & missionaries in developing<br />

countries. To register for the ride, e-mail ride4cause@gmail.<br />

com. Registration fee covers ride, t-shirt and meal. Sunday, <strong>July</strong><br />

<strong>28</strong> will be a combined service at <strong>Federated</strong> <strong>Fellowship</strong> with Grace<br />

<strong>Fellowship</strong> <strong>Church</strong>. A potluck meal will follow after the service<br />

(please bring sides/salads/desserts as meat, chips, and drinks are<br />

provided). There will also be a casual ride after lunch if you’d like<br />

to enjoy the Iowa roads together!<br />

library for your summer reading to take to the beach, the park, on vaca. Also<br />

check out some of the great options for your kids to keep reading over the<br />

summer! What a great FREE option! Grab a book on Sunday in the foyer by<br />

the tables and chairs, next to the kitchen.<br />

This Sunday, <strong>July</strong> <strong>28</strong>, 2:00PM at FFC we will be celebrating “SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS” for the new<br />

babies in our fellowship. Join us as we celebrate the joy of motherhood and new birth for: Tim and<br />

Sandy Pol, and son Huxley; Scott and Rebecca Jochems, and son, Colton; Doug and Cindy Van<br />

Donselaar, and daughter, Kennedy; Darren and Sonya Boot, and daughter, Savanna; Nick and Lyndsi<br />

Guilien, and son, Dannick; Jason and Traci Hewitt, and daughter, Piper. In lieu of gifts, we will receive<br />

monetary donations to purchase a Walmart gift card for each family. We invite you to honor these<br />

moms with a poem, card, special Bible verse or simple words of encouragement. There will be a table<br />

in the entry way yet this Sunday & next Sunday for you to give your donation and write a note for the<br />

mothers. Thanks for joining us in this ministry to new mothers and babies.<br />

SHELF: Our church is going to help the Pella Food<br />

Shelf out with donations of SOUP and CEREAL<br />

as the summer is a very slow time for receiving<br />

donations. They are completely out of soup and<br />

cereal, so let’s help them out! Bring Soup and/or<br />

Cereal to the church front office and we’ll take<br />

a load of donations over to the Food Shelf when<br />

we have a bunch. If you could also donate any<br />

school supplies for them to hand out in <strong>July</strong>,<br />

that is also welcome. Thank you so much for<br />

your support of the Pella Community Food Shelf!<br />

Our goal this year is to raise<br />

It’s time to golf! Pathways of Pella is hosting their GOLF FOR LIFE<br />

TOURNAMENT on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Bos Landen Golf<br />

Club in Pella. Registration begins at 7am and tee time is 8am.<br />

Cost is $75 per person (free with $200 in pledges) and your cost<br />

includes green fees and cart. Please register by August 9. The<br />

format for the tournament will be 4 person best ball. Both men<br />

and women are encouraged to form teams. To register, you can<br />

Why Should I Play To help babies, their moms, families and the<br />

young people of our area. All services provided by Pathways of<br />

Pella are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL. We operate solely on the support<br />

and gifts of concerned people like you and those you ask to<br />

sponsor you in the Golf Tournament. Your support helps provide<br />

accurate information and compassionate assistance to the<br />

women and men seen at Pathways. In 2012 we helped over 130<br />

families. Pathways offers comprehensive, positive alternatives to<br />

abortion, support through the first year of life as well as testing for<br />

the two most common STI’s (Chlamydia and gonorrhea).<br />

PRISON VOLUNTEER TRAINING: Do you want to volunteer for New Life Prison<br />

Community. The next training session for new volunteers will be held on Thursday,<br />

August 1st from 6pm-9pm at the training center of Newton Prison. Let Pastor Rick<br />

(#641-204-1954) know if you're interested.<br />

HOW CAN YOU MINISTER TO THE PEOPLE OF EASTERN EUROPE AND<br />

NEVER LEAVE PELLA By volunteering at the Pella Bibles for Missions<br />

Thrift Center! We are looking for individuals or small groups willing to<br />

come for 3 hour shifts on a once-a-week or once-a-month basis to<br />

help process clothing, linens, fabrics, and electronics in the<br />

evening. This small group could consist of friends you already know<br />

(high school age or above) or it is a great opportunity to meet new<br />

people. A small amount of your time can help place a Bible in the<br />

hands of someone in Eastern Europe and change their life FOREVER.<br />

SUPPORT SABRINA GROENENDYK<br />

Sabrina of Oskaloosa, IA, served at Victory Ministries this<br />

past June on a week long mission trip with <strong>Federated</strong><br />

<strong>Fellowship</strong> <strong>Church</strong> of Pella. This is where Sabrina’s love for<br />

serving at Victory was sparked. God spoke to Sabrina and<br />

has asked her to spend a year at Victory as an intern. Here<br />

are some things Sabrina has put together for fundraising.<br />

See if you can attend any of them and feel free to contact her if you’d like<br />

more information on her upcoming year in Alaska!<br />

SUITES AT THE KNOXVILLE RACEWAY: You can purchase Suits at the<br />

Knoxville Race track for the <strong>July</strong> 27th, 7pm race. (Rain date would<br />

be August 24) These Suites are $100 each, which includes the seat,<br />

food, and the entertainment (or the race). The proceeds will go to<br />

Sabrina Groenendyk’s fundraising for her year of missions in Alaska<br />
