Responder Award program has recognized over 300 First Responder heroes across North Texas.

Highland Park Fire Fighter Wayne Kilmer FF, EMT-P receives a Great Fire Responder Award at a City Council<br />
meeting on August 9 th . L to R: Mayor William Seay, Wayne’s mother Mrs. Lucy Kilmer, son Jack and on the far<br />
right Chris Vinson, Highland Park’s Director of Public Safety. Wayne was cited for saving two children in a flood as<br />
their car was being swept away.<br />

honor of his 38 years of service to the department. Additional Great First Responder Awards were presented at<br />

Bright and early on July 15 th … at 7am … <strong>CareFlite</strong> broke ground for a new Education and Training Facility. The<br />
center is expected to be completed by the end of the year. In addition to the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation, support<br />
for the construction of the center comes from a number of foundations, our Sponsors, Friends of <strong>CareFlite</strong> and<br />
<strong>CareFlite</strong>’s employees. The center will include state of the art training facilities for air and ground EMS providers.<br />
Help support <strong>CareFlite</strong>’s efforts to bring help and hope to all who need medical trans port in North Texas.<br />
