Principal<br />

Mr <strong>Andrew</strong> <strong>Vietti</strong> is one of the directors of the Johannesburg office of <strong>Paterson</strong> &<br />

<strong>Cooke</strong>, having founded the company together with Fredré Dunn in 2005.<br />

<strong>Andrew</strong> completed a Masters of Science degree at the University of Natal, South<br />

Africa in 1987. He then joined De Beers Consolidated Mines in 1999 and for the<br />

following 15 years was intimately involved in the development of Paste and Thickened<br />

Tailings disposal systems within the De Beers Group both in Africa and Canada.<br />

Since 2005, <strong>Andrew</strong> has consulted on a wide range of sedimentation projects worldwide<br />

which includes most mineral types in both small and very large operations. His<br />

contributions have lead to a better understanding of the design and operation of<br />

thickener unit processes. He regularly lectures at courses offered by the Company, as<br />

well as at international forums and conferences.<br />
