Andrew Vietti
Principal
Mr Andrew Vietti is one of the directors of the Johannesburg office of Paterson &
Cooke, having founded the company together with Fredré Dunn in 2005.
Andrew completed a Masters of Science degree at the University of Natal, South
Africa in 1987. He then joined De Beers Consolidated Mines in 1999 and for the
following 15 years was intimately involved in the development of Paste and Thickened
Tailings disposal systems within the De Beers Group both in Africa and Canada.
Since 2005, Andrew has consulted on a wide range of sedimentation projects worldwide
which includes most mineral types in both small and very large operations. His
contributions have lead to a better understanding of the design and operation of
thickener unit processes. He regularly lectures at courses offered by the Company, as
well as at international forums and conferences.
