Press Releases<br />
Upload <strong>your</strong> press images<br />
A few things <strong>to</strong> keep in mind…<br />
Upload images as soon as possible (always double check <strong>your</strong><br />
captions. They are printed exactly as submitted). The sooner you<br />
submit <strong>your</strong> images, <strong>the</strong> more opportunities <strong>the</strong>re are <strong>to</strong> be picked up<br />
by <strong>the</strong> press. Also, <strong>the</strong>re is a better chance that <strong>the</strong>y will be used in<br />
our print and marketing materials. Magazine deadlines and<br />
promotional print materials are prepared months in advance.<br />
Submit pr<strong>of</strong>essional pho<strong>to</strong>graphy. Amateur pho<strong>to</strong>graphs are not<br />
chosen <strong>to</strong> be used in print materials nor chosen by members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
press. If you have no choice but <strong>to</strong> take <strong>your</strong> own images, please use<br />
a solid color backdrop (black or white works best) and <strong>the</strong> highest<br />
quality camera you can find with high resolution capabilities.<br />
Upload <strong>your</strong> press releases.<br />
This is a new feature <strong>the</strong> exhibi<strong>to</strong>r services site will have this year.<br />
The more information we have on what you will be bringing <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>fair</strong>,<br />
<strong>the</strong> better we can publicize/promote it. These will only be used<br />
internally <strong>to</strong> ga<strong>the</strong>r information for our "<strong>fair</strong> highlights" press releases.<br />

website (note: you will need <strong>to</strong> create a new account if you do not<br />

Talk about <strong>your</strong> artists. Be sure <strong>to</strong> mention any notable or<br />
newsworthy facts and be sure <strong>to</strong> list all artist names and where <strong>the</strong>y<br />
are from.<br />
Be sure <strong>to</strong> highlight any particularly special works you will be<br />
bringing.<br />

These can be used on <strong>your</strong> homepage or social media sites <strong>to</strong> <strong>make</strong><br />
announcements about <strong>your</strong> <strong>participation</strong> in <strong>the</strong> <strong>fair</strong>.<br />
Create personalized tickets.
To order print tickets, please fill out and submit <strong>the</strong> Promotional<br />
Materials Order Form, available on <strong>the</strong> exhibi<strong>to</strong>r services site. You<br />
may also opt <strong>to</strong> use Collec<strong>to</strong>rConnect, an email marketing service<br />
that enables you <strong>to</strong> send e-tickets for <strong>your</strong> <strong>to</strong>p collec<strong>to</strong>rs and mailing<br />
lists.<br />
Exhibi<strong>to</strong>r images used in 8-page<br />
S<strong>how</strong> Guides, placed in newspapers<br />
such as New York Times , Wall Street<br />
Journal and various local publications.<br />

If you don't have a Facebook page, create one:<br />

Once <strong>your</strong> page is set up "friend us". We are International Fine <strong>Art</strong><br />
Expositions. You should <strong>the</strong>n "like" <strong>the</strong> page <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>fair</strong> you are<br />
participating in (we will already be keeping a look out <strong>to</strong> "like" <strong>your</strong><br />
page, if we don't already). You can <strong>the</strong>n submit posts for us <strong>to</strong><br />
announce on our wall! Plus, it is ano<strong>the</strong>r way <strong>to</strong> keep up-<strong>to</strong>-date on<br />
<strong>fair</strong> news.<br />
Also, each <strong>fair</strong> will be its own event in addition <strong>to</strong> having its own<br />
page. The link for <strong>the</strong> event will be available on <strong>the</strong> <strong>fair</strong>s page. Once<br />
you are "attending" <strong>the</strong> event, you can invite guests.<br />

Advertisements<br />
Here are some helpful ideas <strong>to</strong> up <strong>your</strong> gallery's "likes"…<br />
Create a Targeted Facebook Ad<br />
Facebook advertising is extremely targeted and inexpensive. A Pay-<br />
Per-Click program that <strong>of</strong>fers <strong>the</strong> consumer an incentive <strong>to</strong> "click"<br />
(such as complimentary tickets <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>fair</strong>) is recommended.<br />
Solicit New Fans and Followers<br />
It is important <strong>to</strong> build <strong>your</strong> Facebook fan/"Likes" and Twitter follower<br />
base <strong>to</strong> communicate <strong>your</strong> message <strong>to</strong> as many people as possible.<br />
Encourage current fans on Facebook <strong>to</strong> share links from <strong>your</strong> gallery<br />
page. Also, search through Facebook and Twitter for shared interests<br />
groups by using keywords. Once identified, "like" relevant groups and<br />
encourage <strong>the</strong>m <strong>to</strong> "like" you. People are more likely <strong>to</strong> follow you if<br />
you follow <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

identify targeted groups on Facebook and communicate directly with<br />

Utilize <strong>fair</strong> programming:<br />
Schedule an event<br />
IFAE is happy <strong>to</strong> assist in arranging events at <strong>your</strong> booth or in <strong>the</strong> VIP<br />
lounge- for example- a private cocktail hour for <strong>your</strong> clients or a<br />
private lecture. We also encourage <strong>of</strong>f site dinners for <strong>your</strong> VIP<br />
clients. It is far easier <strong>to</strong> sell <strong>to</strong> a client you know.<br />
Create a lecture<br />
Create a lecture and be part <strong>of</strong> our informational series. IFAE<br />
lectures are always well attended and promoted heavily. It is a great<br />
way <strong>to</strong> get you or <strong>your</strong> galleries name extra coverage and draw<br />
interest <strong>to</strong> <strong>your</strong> booth.<br />
