Dear Parent / Carer
Move to Breadalbane Community Campus
The Council has taken possession of the new Campus.
From Tuesday 23 rd of November staff from the Council, the Academy, Live Active Leisure and
Tayside Contracts (Catering) have been working to get the building up and running. Despite
the greatly increased pressure placed upon the move due to the inclement weather, we are
looking forward to greatly improved facilities for pupils and staff alike. I would like to advise
you of the special arrangements that are being put in place for the move from our current
building into the new one.
Key dates and information is as follows -
Friday 10 th Dec. - Day 1 of School Closure. No Pupils in school.
Monday 13 th Dec. - Day 2 of school closure. No pupils in school.
Tuesday 14 th Dec - Day 3 of School Closure. S6 pupils in school to be shown round at
2.00pm. They will be acting as tour guides for other pupils.
Wednesday 15 th Dec. - Day 4. Pupil part day visits to Campus with induction tours by S6 pupils
and staff.
Your child should attend as follows:
• 9am-11am. All Contract bus/taxi pupils should go for their normal transport in the
morning. Contract transport will take them back to the appropriate drop off points,
leaving the school at approximately 11am on completion of their tour. Please note due
to current conditions there may be last minute adjustments to these arrangements.
• 11am – 1pm. All secondary pupils who walk to school.
• 2pm – 3.30pm. All Nursery and Primary pupils who walk to school. Their class teachers
will take them on a tour of the building (Parents/carers of Nursery children will be able to
accompany their children).
Further details of the tours will be issued to pupils in advance. Documentation will be on the
school website as well as issues to pupils.

Please note that all pupils should be in uniform. Light refreshments will be provided and
pupils will be issued with maps and campus information but there will be NO LUNCH
facilities available.
Thursday 16 th Dec - First full day for Pupils at New Campus. Normal attendance is required.
Thursday 23 rd Dec – School closes for Christmas Holidays
Wednesday 5 th January – First day of new term

Catering
Tayside Contracts will continue to provide catering in the new campus and there will be
improvements to the service for pupils, including pre-ordering of meals, vending machines, and
mobile food service. There is also a “Baguette Bar” open from 8 am – 8.30pm Monday to
Friday. Pupil discounts will apply to all catering in the campus up to 6pm each school day, so
pupils attending study support classes etc can benefit from lower prices.
We seek your support in ensuring your child stays on campus at break and lunch times,
particularly as our social spaces are greatly improved in terms of size and quality.
PLEASE REMIND YOUR CHILD TO BRING THEIR YOUNG SCOT CARD ON THURS 9TH
Lockers
Lockers are available on Campus for all P6 pupils upwards. A £10 deposit is asked for this
facility. Arrangements will be made to issue keys etc to pupils( these have been delayed by
snow closures). Ask your child for details. Nursery and P1 to P5 pupils have space available
within dedicated cloakrooms.
Tours/Taster sessions for Parents and members of the Community
Tours will be available on Saturday 18 th and Sunday 19 th of December. Live Active will be
providing taster sessions, in these two days, to allow the community to use/see the leisure
facilities.
The tours will operate from 10a.m. till 12.30p.m. and 1.00p.m. and 3.30p.m. on both days.
Details of the Taster Session, on these days, are given on the on the attached sheet.
I trust the weather eases and allows us to carry out the move as efficiently as possible. We
