Edward Cornwall: lines to be written, there is a huge amount of material on this prominent citizen—after his death Elm Street was changed to Cornwall Avenue. He was even more prominent in public affairs than his father the doctor. He served both church and town, holding nearly every position, as Deacon Brown would say, "within the gift of his fellow townsmen." He was justice of the peace, selectman, judge of probate, town clerk, and served in the General Assembly seven times.
