Selected Project Activities: ACTIVITY PERCENTAGE: DESCRIPTION Reduced recidivism among higher risk offenders in specialized programs (Adult Probation) 100.00 The overall goal of this project is to reduce recidivism, rehabilitate offenders and protect the community through collaboration between the Hidalgo County CSCD and the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office. This effort will target conducting field visits on higher risk offenders on probation in Hidalgo County (Texas-Mexico Border) to monitor their compliance with court ordered conditions. Geographic Area: Hidalgo County, Texas Target Audience: Moderate to High Risk offenders in specialized programs run by the CSCD Gender: male and female Ages: 17 and over Special Characteristics: Offenders must be under supervision by the Hidalgo County CSCD
