engaged to Nicholas Yardley, a British climber and<br />

writer. They plan to marry in May of 1990.<br />

Jackie Paradee writes that she is in law school at<br />

Villanova and hopes to be practicing in Delaware in<br />

1990. She is proud of her career choice.<br />

David Groome stopped by at SAS in April on his<br />

way home to Long Island where he is working in a<br />

hotel.<br />

Andy Kelly is living in Boston and teaching<br />

outdoor education to adolescent girls at Thompson<br />

Island Outward Bound Adventure <strong>School</strong>. She still<br />

loves Woolich.<br />

Another Boston dweller, Beryl Friel is doing<br />

psychiatric research and dancing whenever possible.<br />

Dan Garrison wrote to ask that he not be included<br />

in the class notes. His plans include moving to New<br />

York City to work in advertising. Sorry, Dan!<br />

Tim Wainwright is now living in Syracuse, New<br />

York, and pursuing video production. He sent a<br />

promotional video he made for a hotel in Hilton Head<br />

and a video letter. He regrets missing the 5th Reunion<br />

and not keeping in touch with people from SAS.<br />

Mamie Stetson has finished a year at the<br />

University of Indiana where she has been pursuing her<br />

master's in English Literature. She will spend the<br />

summer in Washington, D.C.<br />

Sandy McCauley has kept very busy since SAS<br />

graduation. She traveled around the world with a<br />

program called "Semester at Sea." She spent four<br />

months on a cruise ship with 300 other students from<br />

around the country, studying and visiting different<br />

countries. She also toured Europe with Nada Saliba.<br />

Sandy writes that Nada "is super fantastic. She's 'in<br />

love' and is taking a year off after Mt. Holyoke<br />

graduation-she will attend medical school next fall."<br />

Sandy graduated from Syracuse University's broadcast<br />

journalism department and is working in television as<br />

an "on air" reporter/anchor.<br />

Also from Sandy: "Greg Shivery is well. He is<br />

working for Senator Roth (DE) in Washington, D.C.<br />

After graduating from Princeton last May, Michael<br />

Atalay spent an "intoxicating" month in Turkey. He<br />

plans to start in the Ph.D. track of the Johns Hopkins<br />

Biomedical Engineering Program.<br />

Kathryn Nevin is teaching in Madrid but will be<br />

returning in the fall to attend Indiana University's<br />

graduate school of English.<br />

After graduating from Trinity, Jay Blum moved to<br />

Middletown, Connecticut, where he works at Coopers<br />

& Lybrand "trying, with little success, to get used to<br />

the idea of being an accountant." He is also taking<br />

classes at night to get a Masters at the University of<br />

Hartford.<br />

Thanks for a great letter from Kathy DeMarco!<br />

She is living in Philadelphia after graduating from<br />

Penn in December with a double degree, English and<br />

Marketing! She writes: "I work trading industrial<br />

minerals and agricultural chemicals internationally."<br />

She also ran and finished the New York Marathon last<br />

November with brother Anthony '80.<br />

Kathy writes that Liz Butcher is well and working<br />

in New York City at the Russian Tea Room by day and<br />

studying acting by night. Also, Stephanie Jones is<br />

living "above a Mexican Restaurant in the Village,<br />

replete with neon lights and a hand-painted glass<br />

door."<br />

Eric Gamble just finished his first year of a twoyear<br />

master's program at Yale Divinity <strong>School</strong>. His<br />

summer plans include working for a magazine in<br />

Boston or D.C. He writes that he has been living with<br />

Dave McNaughton and Eric Twombly.<br />

Besides working on her "competitive tan" on Cape<br />

Cod, Christa von der Luft ("Rock") is job hunting<br />

in Boston and frequenting rallies and marches in<br />

Washington.<br />

Markus Pottgiesser writes that he is still at the<br />

University of Giessen working towards his B.A. In the<br />

spring, he worked in the stock brokerage division of a<br />

bank. He plans to attend his class reunion in June.<br />

Elizabeth "Lou" O'Brien writes from Hartford<br />

that "coaching is great!" Lou coached the Trinity<br />

freshmen women's crew while completing her B.A.<br />

She plans to travel to Spain for a couple of weeks this<br />

summer and will return home to work at a summer<br />

camp.<br />

Will Wrightson graduated from Princeton with an<br />

economics degree. He went on "active duty" in the<br />

Army and graduated from the U.S. Army Field<br />

Artillery <strong>School</strong> in February with honors. He is now<br />

job hunting.<br />

All of the adventures and travels of Bonnie Hillman<br />

could not possibly be documented. She graduated<br />

from Brown last December and plans to begin at the<br />

Ensemble Studio Theater in New York City. She'll<br />

have many stories to tell at Reunion! Bonnie wrote<br />

that Mary Ashton Roberts is living in New York City<br />

and working as a management consultant.<br />

Michael Whalen has found success in NYC. He<br />

writes music for Elias Associates, a commercial music<br />

house, and has written music for 70 ad~. He hopes to<br />

have his own music company by 1990. Congrats<br />

Delaware, and working towards her master's in<br />

engineering at the University of Delaware.<br />

Gail Wright is immersed in the M.D./Ph.D.<br />

program at Johns Hopkins and, as usual, keeps busy<br />

with a million activities.<br />
