The family of VersaPulse PowerSuite holmium and dual
wavelength lasers is intended for ablation, vaporization,
excision, incision and coagulation of soft tissue through
endoscopic, laparoscopic or open access.
The holmium laser is well established as the most
effective endoscopic lithotrite. It is able to fragment all
types and varieties of calculi with single session success
rates over 90%.
The high power holmium laser is also an ideal tool for
treatment of BPH. It is used to vaporize, enucleate,
resect and incise prostate tissue with excellent outcomes
and little bleeding. Since 2003, holmium laser
treatments have been included in the BPH Treatment
Guidelines of four leading urology associations -
American 1 , British 2 , European 3 , and Australian 4 .

HOLMIUM LASERS
Holmium Laser Ablation of the Prostate
100 Watt: The most powerful holmium laser available,
at 50 hertz rep rate it delivers smoother cutting and
faster, more efficient tissue treatment. It will incise the
toughest material with ease. This model is ideal for
high-power, long-duration procedures such as holmium
laser ablation of the prostate (HoLAP), holmium laser
enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) and bladder stone
fragmentation.
60 Watt: This laser has cutting power orthopedic surgeons
want for cartilaginous material. It is also useful for the
ENT surgeon needing to incise tough, fibrous tissue.
