Many years of experience 

As one of the leading makers of car trailers and 

an up-and-coming producer of semi-trailers, 

we manufacture approximately 50,000 trailers 

annually. Since the company was founded we 

have produced more than 450,000 vehicles. In 

the first quarter of 2010, the 500,000 th trailer 

rolled out of the Gersthofen factory. 

Each of our trailers is a reflection of the 

knowledge acquired over decades.

Robust and long lasting – that's how a trailer 

must be. For that reason, we only use highquality 

components and ensure first-class 

workmanship at all times. Before a trailer leaves 

our factory, highly qualified technicians check 

each individual detail.

750 kilograms to 40 tos gross weight. Retail as 

well as commercial customers always find just 

the right transport aid for their diverse applications.

suit every model of trailer. Thus, from various 

building blocks, customers can put together a

For trailers above 5 to, our broad spectrum of 

services also includes direct service. Regardless 

whether it concerns the supply of spare parts,

A COMPANY ON THE 

ROAD TO SUCCESS 

Milestones at Humbaur GmbH 

• 1957 Founded by Anton Humbaur at 

Donauwörth as a seller of agricultural 

machinery (trailers, ploughs, grain mills, etc.) 

• 1978 / 1979 Decline in agricultural machinery 

sales. Anton Humbaur decided to include new 

products in his sales programme 

• 1980 Move to Gersthofen, construction of a 

new warehouse and office building 

• 1981 Entry into car trailer distribution and 

sales. In the initial phase, these were imported 

from Italy, converted for the German market 

and sold on from Gersthofen 

• 1982 Ulrich Humbaur, our present managing 

director, joined the company 

• 1984 We started manufacturing our own car 

trailers 

• 1985 Humbaur GmbH company founded 

• 1989 We stopped selling agricultural 

machines and accordingly increased our 

production of trailers for private and 

commercial use 

• 1998 We started to produce horse trailers 

• 2001 We moved into newly-built administration

now expanded our product range in the heavy 

duty sector. Humbaur is now offering the flatbed 

turntable trailer (HTD) in five different versions for 

the transport of diggers, construction machinery

The BIG ONE BASIC BUILDER feature set for the 

construction industry uses the BASIC-type as the 

foundation for an open platform. Thanks to its 

exclusive use of high-quality components, solid 

construction and maximum gross weight of up 

to 29.1 / 33.1 tonnes, it is the ideal workhorse for 

transporting heavy, bulky and non-moisture-sensitive 

goods - eg. rooftiles packaged onto pallets. 

BIG ONE MEGA 

Three-metre ceiling height, 100 cubic metres of 

loading volume – the BIG ONE MEGA platform 

semi-trailer is the solution. Rugged torsion tubes 

lend it extreme stability. 

Humbaur offers a ten-year warranty against rustthrough 

for the hot-dip galvanised frame. For the
