ROAD TO SUCCESS<br />
Milestones at Humbaur GmbH<br />
• 1957 Founded by Anton Humbaur at<br />
Donauwörth as a seller of agricultural<br />
machinery (trailers, ploughs, grain mills, etc.)<br />
• 1978 / 1979 Decline in agricultural machinery<br />
sales. Anton Humbaur decided to include new<br />
products in his sales programme<br />
• 1980 Move to Gersthofen, construction of a<br />
new warehouse and office building<br />
• 1981 Entry into car trailer distribution and<br />
sales. In the initial phase, these were imported<br />
from Italy, converted for the German market<br />
and sold on from Gersthofen<br />
• 1982 Ulrich Humbaur, our present managing<br />
director, joined the company<br />
• 1984 We started manufacturing our own car<br />
trailers<br />
• 1985 Humbaur GmbH company founded<br />
• 1989 We stopped selling agricultural<br />
machines and accordingly increased our<br />
production of trailers for private and<br />
commercial use<br />
• 1998 We started to produce horse trailers<br />
• 2001 We moved into newly-built administration<br />
and production facilities (22000 m²)<br />
at Mercedesring, Gersthofen<br />
• 2004 First presentation of the heavy duty<br />
programme at the IAA in Hannover<br />
• 2005 Construction of a second production<br />
workshop at Gersthofen – state-of-the-art production<br />
technology across more than 23000m²<br />
• 2006 Expansion of heavy duty programme<br />
with 30-tonne flatbed turntable trailer<br />
• 2006 First presentation of the BIG ONE semitrailer<br />
product family at the IAA in Hannover<br />
• 2008 First presentation of the Rexus box<br />
trailer with sporty retro design<br />
• 2008 Expansion of the freight programme,<br />
additional BIG ONE semi-trailer models:<br />
BIG ONE COIL and<br />
BIG ONE CONNECT<br />
• 2009 Introduction of the new SPIRIT production<br />
model in the horse trailer product sector<br />
• 2009 Introduction of the new LOADY production<br />
model with innovative steel plate bridge<br />
in the professional trailer sector<br />
• 2009 Introduction of the new ALLCOMFORT<br />
and LEMANS production models with unique<br />
tilting bearing in the vehicle transport trailer<br />
sector<br />
• 2010 First completely bolted construction of<br />
some models in the heavy duty sector<br />
