REFERENCE NO RIL/DEV/KGD6/PKG VII/007 CATEGORY Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Onshore Gas Terminal on LSTK basis. Introduction: RIL plans to develop the offshore gas field known as Block KG-DWN-98/3 in the Krishna Godavari Basin, Bay of Bengal off the East Coast of India (the “Gas Field”). The Gas Field covers an area of approximately 7,500 km2 and is located between approximately 40km and 60 km south east of Kakinada. The Gas Field lies in water depths ranging between 400 meters in the northwest and over 2,700 meters in the southeast. In line with the development of the Gas Field RIL plans to construct an Onshore Gas Terminal. This Onshore Gas Terminal will process the gas to meet the gas sales specifications. The Onshore Gas Terminal will be situated near Gadimoga village in Tallarevu Mandal, about 30 Km south of Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, India. The following facilities are envisaged at the Terminal: pig receivers, slug catchers, inlet separators, gas dehydration system using TEG, TEG regeneration system, MEG storage and continuous injection system through dedicated dual 6" pipelines, MEG regeneration system, gas turbines for power generation, emergency power generation system, utilities, effluent treatment plant, DCS, ESD system and other facilities. The KG-D6 field operations will be controlled from the Control cum Riser Platform (CRP). REFERENCE NO RIL/DEV/KGD6/PKG VIII/008 CATEGORY Pile foundations of pre-cast driven/ bored cast in situ and civil works for Onshore Gas Terminal. Introduction: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), is setting up an Onshore Gas Terminal near Gadimoga village in Tallarevu Mandal , about 30 Km south of Kakinada in the state of Andhra Pradesh, as a part of Project for Development of Gas discoveries in the deep water offshore block KG-DWN-98/3 (KGD6). The Onshore Gas Terminal site elevation is being raised upto + 4.2 MSL by filling with granular material dredged from Godavari river. The civil work for onshore terminal involves installation of pile foundations (approx 3000 nos) with varying pile diameters to meet design pile capacities and other associated civil works. RIL intends to execute the project on a Fast Track mode. The site would be available for piling and civil works from June / July 2006. The major portion of pile foundation may be required to be executed in a period of 4 months from mobilization. RIL has conducted detailed soil investigation at site and have carried out number of boreholes. The general soil conditions at site is as follows: Soils encountered are: A) + 4.5 m to 0 m: Reclaimed fill, fine sand with silt / clay upto 15% by volume. B) 0 to - 4m / -19.5m from MSL: Very soft clay with loose fine sand partings (-ve values are below MSL). C) -4 m / -19.5 m to -10 m / -21.5 m : Medium Dense sand, thickness of sand layer is as small as 2 m at places and max upto 6 m at other places. D) -10 m / -21.5 m to -40 m / 45 m: Medium stiff clay to stiff clay. E) -40 m / -45 m: Very dense sand. Details required to be submitted by the contractors/ bidders for the above: Based on above, for the purpose of pre-qualification to participate in the tender, interested contractors/ bidders are required to submit the following documents amongst other details, catalogues, and brochures in a sealed envelope within 10 days of publication of this advertisement: 1. Letter of Interest; 2. Details of previous similar jobs executed specifically within the oil & gas industries within India and abroad along with; • Contractor's preferred option of type of pile foundation, for the above soil conditions; • Whether Contractor can execute long length of Driven Cast insitu / Driven Precast/ Rotary cast insitu piles; • What is the maximum length of precast driven or driven cast in situ pile or Rotary cast insitu executed by Contractor; • What are typical pile diameters Contractor can execute for above type of piles; • Type and number of pilling rigs with Contractor; • Production capacity of above pilling rigs; • Casting yard requirements for the type of work; • Current deployment of rigs and possibility of availability of rigs for RIL work; • Brochures of equipment and capability of Contractor; • Contractor’s capability to execute civil works like pile caps, buildings, etc. 3.
