sunshine-filled day with my grandchildren would

“Amazing Grace” would be the song playing in
my head if I were winning a marathon because,
even when I was young, I never had the stamina or
the desire required to run long distances.
If you had $1 billion, how would you spend it to
improve the Baton Rouge region
If I had $1 billion, I would design a walking/jogging/bicycle/skateboard
trail for East Baton Rouge
Parish, West Baton Rouge Parish and for East
Feliciana Parish. I would use the Greenways in
Knoxville, Tenn., as a model. The trail would tie the
downtown areas, schools, university campuses and
sites of interest together. The trails would assist in
combating the problem of inactivity and obesity in
our children and adult population, promote health
and provide wholesome family activity. Families
could be encouraged to donate memorial rest areas,
flower beds, trees and shrubs, water fountains,
play areas and picnic areas.
