The Program <br />

The <strong>Pingry</strong> <strong>Soccer</strong> <strong>Camp</strong> offers a one-­‐week session <br />

of skilled soccer instrucCon for beginner, <br />

intermediate and advanced soccer players in an <br />

atmosphere of learning and fun. The camp is <br />

offered to both boys and girls, ages 8-­‐17. <br />

ParCcipants are divided into groups according to <br />

age and experience. <strong>Soccer</strong> instrucCon and <br />

acCviCes are based on each individual’s <br />

developmental level. <br />

Special small group acCviCes concentrate on <br />

developing skills at all posiCons. A special session <br />

for strikers focuses on power shooCng, accuracy, <br />

and placement shots. These special sessions are <br />

conducted as part of the daily program. Miller <br />

Bugliari also provides instrucCon on defensive play <br />

and strategy. A group of staff instructors – all <br />

skilled soccer players – work with campers in both <br />

group and individual sehngs throughout the day. <br />

Goalies receive individual and group session <br />

coaching. <strong>Pingry</strong> has produced several All-­‐State <br />

goalkeepers, an All-­‐American goalkeeper, and <br />

several Olympic goalkeepers. <br />

Each camper receives: <br />

1. Five full days of instrucGon (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) <br />

2. Training films, guest lecturers, and clinics <br />

3. Use of all <strong>Pingry</strong> faciliGes including the fields <br />

and locker rooms <br />

4. RegulaGon soccer ball <br />

5. <strong>Soccer</strong> camp “T” shirt <br />

6. Swimming in the Olympic-­‐size pool <br />

TransportaGon: Some transportaCon may be <br />

available; please consult with the director. <br />

Meals: Players must provide their own lunches. <br />

Cost: The total cost of the camp is $320, payable in <br />

full with applicaCon. Refunds will be given if noCce <br />

is received 30 days prior to the start of camp. A $25 <br />

discount is offered if mulCple parCcipants from <br />

same family aRend camp. <br />

Miller Bugliari has been head varsity coach at <br />

The <strong>Pingry</strong> <strong>School</strong> for 50 years. During that Gme, <br />

his teams have achieved a record of 764 wins, 90 <br />

losses & 56 Ges. <br />

His teams have consistently won numerous county and state <br />

soccer championships and have been invited to several <br />

tournaments in areas outside of New Jersey. He is Past <br />

President of the NaConal <strong>Soccer</strong> Coaches’ AssociaCon of <br />

America and served on the Governor’s Fitness Council. Mr. <br />

Bugliari is the N.J. <strong>Soccer</strong> and World Cup Volunteer <br />

Coordinator and is the USSF-­‐State Coaching Administrator. <br />

He was inducted into the NaConal <strong>Soccer</strong> Hall of Fame. <br />

Mr. Bugliari is a licensed USSF Coach and has a cerCficate <br />

from the German Football AssociaCon. He was the NaConal <br />

Secondary Coach of the Year in 1983 and 1989 and a charter <br />

member of the <strong>Pingry</strong> Hall of Fame. The Star-­‐Ledger 1991 <br />

Coach of the Year, Mr. Bugliari has been named to the New <br />

Jersey <strong>Soccer</strong> Hall of Fame. <br />

For 16 years, Mr. Bugliari owned and operated a camp for <br />

boys in Maine, and he is a fully accredited American <strong>Camp</strong>ing <br />

AssociaCon Director. <br />
