Overview and Context<br />

The Community Services & Health Industry Skills Council (CS&HISC) is federally funded<br />

and supported to provide integrated industry intelligence and advice to the Australian<br />

<strong>Workforce</strong> Productivity Agency, government and enterprises on workforce development and<br />

skills needs; actively support the development, implementation and continuous improvement<br />

of high quality training and workforce development products and services including training<br />

packages; provide independent workforce development, skills and training advice to<br />

enterprises, including matching identified training needs with appropriate training solutions<br />

and engage with various stakeholders in their area of industry coverage.<br />

Recently CS&HISC received funding from the Department of Industry, <strong>Innovation</strong>, Climate<br />

Change, Science, Research & Tertiary Education (DIICCSRTE) to manage and deliver the<br />

<strong>Aged</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>Workforce</strong> <strong>Innovation</strong> <strong>Network</strong> Program in selected regions across Australia.<br />

The aim of the program is to target aged care workforce development needs in light of sector<br />

reform. Once established, the <strong>WIN</strong> will provide expertise to aged care employers so they can<br />

more effectively plan and implement business and workforce development strategies.<br />

This newly established role is responsible for providing consultative services to eligible<br />

organisations under the <strong>Aged</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>Workforce</strong> <strong>Innovation</strong>s <strong>Network</strong> (A <strong>WIN</strong>)<br />

Key Accountabilities<br />

Deliver the <strong>WIN</strong> by maintaining neutrality and independence<br />

Identify enterprises that may benefit from the network through relevant stakeholder<br />

engagement<br />

Conduct forums with industry contacts to build strong networks within regions<br />

Conduct enterprise business reviews by using relevant tools and resources<br />

Contribute to continuous improvement process of the network by providing feedback<br />

to Program Manager<br />

Actively market and promote the service by conducting workshops, gathering and<br />

disseminating examples of good practice, communicating with local providers<br />

Identify opportunities for participating enterprises to participate in other supporting<br />

programs such as NWDF by sourcing and disseminating information and linking with<br />

existing programs and services to provide solutions<br />

Maintain an ongoing client management role by ensuring strategies and workforce<br />

development activities are embedded in the workplace to improve business<br />

performance<br />

Keep up to date, accurate records of participating enterprises through compliance<br />

with reporting requirements including evaluation processes<br />

Selection Criteria<br />

<br />

Senior level business management and workforce development consulting<br />

experience, preferably in aged care or community services/health industry


Working knowledge of aged care industry issues and reforms that impact on current<br />

and future business models<br />

Demonstrated collaboration and networking between diverse stakeholder groups<br />

including regional industry networks<br />

Ability to travel and the flexibility to fit with the schedules of service providers<br />

Demonstrated experience improving business practices and systems<br />

Demonstrated workforce development and change management program experience<br />

Working knowledge of tools and resources to improve workforce development<br />

initiatives<br />

Advanced client and stakeholder management skills<br />

Self-starter and team player<br />

This role is a full-time contract position for 12 months with the potential for extension<br />
