Work Experience Opportunities
begin learning vocational skills and
behaviors such as time
management, problem solving and
independence.

Work Experience
The purpose of this course is to provide work experiences
and training for students in community job sites. Students
will be prepared to function in work situations with minimal
supervision. Based upon individual needs the student will be
placed on jobs in community and school work settings for
training or employment. Based upon the individual needs of
the student, the student will be placed on one the following:
1. Job Coach – a job coach provides on-the-job training as
needed.
2. Work Sample – unpaid vocational training
3. Work Study – paid employment in a community worksite

Job Club
The purpose of this type of course is to prepare students
for work and post-graduation careers. Students will be
ready to participate in either community work samples
or paid employment. Students complete interest
surveys, explore careers and community resources,
learn job-seeking skills during both a classroom
component, and an actual unpaid community job
exploration experience.
