Girls on the Run<br />
AGES: 4th, 5th & 6th Grade Girls • Min. 6 • Max. 10<br />
Girls on the Run ® is a non-profit prevention program that<br />
encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and a<br />
healthy lifestyle through running. The goal of this program<br />
is for the girls to run a 5K by the end of the session. Please<br />
call <strong>Streetsboro</strong> Parks and Recreation for more<br />
information, or visit www.gotrgreatersummit.org to<br />
register.<br />

NFL Punt Pass & Kick<br />
Ages: 6 - 15 years old<br />
So which can you do better – punt, pass or kick Show us<br />
what you have! If you are between the ages of 6 and 15,<br />
come sign up and see what it takes to get to the national<br />
finals. Registration will be held on the day of the event.<br />

Scarecrow Build<br />
All Ages<br />
Help us decorate St. Rt. 43 along City Hall<br />
for Halloween. We need your help<br />
designing scarecrows! We will supply the<br />
hay, a pumpkin head, and a frame in the<br />
shape of a T for you to build around. All<br />
you have to provide is the clothes for your<br />
scarecrow. All scarecrows will be on<br />
display along St. Rt. 43 on the City Hall<br />
side till Oct 27th for everyone to see! The<br />
week of Oct 28 you can pick up your<br />
scarecrow to take home to keep just in time for Halloween.<br />
Individuals, families, groups, and other organizations are<br />
invited to participate. Each scarecrow designer will receive<br />
memorable certificate for their contributions.<br />

Guitar Lessons<br />
AGES: 7 and older<br />
These lessons are for adults and children with no experience to<br />
minimal experience. Note reading and theory are taught as well<br />
as being able to read chords. The instructor will provide<br />
instruction books at a cost to the student at $6.00 - $10.00 (you<br />
will go through 1-2 instruction books a year). The instructor can<br />
also take care of basic guitar maintenance. We ask for one month<br />
payment in advance. The instructor is Sara Trembath.<br />

Piano Lessons<br />
AGES: 4 and older<br />
These lessons are for anyone with no experience to minimal. If<br />
you have always wanted to learn how to play the piano, this is a<br />
great opportunity for you to take advantage of. Lessons are<br />
private half hour sessions. You are asked to pay one month in<br />
advance for your lessons. Limited times are available on a first<br />
come first serve basis. The instructor is Sheila Sovis. There may<br />
be an additional cost for books.<br />

<strong>Streetsboro</strong> Fishing Derby<br />
All Ages<br />
Come have fun fishing with your family at the new fishing pond in<br />
<strong>Streetsboro</strong>! Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.<br />
Bring your own fishing gear. We will meet at the Thomas Heritage<br />
Park at 8:30 am. Participants must register at the Parks &<br />
Recreation Department. Every child will get a free Ohio<br />
Department of Natural Resources bobber and<br />
fish identification booklet!<br />
DATE: Aug. 10 • DAY: Sat. • TIME: 8:30 am - 10:30 am<br />
COST: $1.00 per child and Parents are Free<br />
