A three year mean comparison (2008 ~ 2010) of Year 9 student<br />
performance using the National Assessment Program Scale indicates<br />
that the performance of <strong>Loyola</strong> <strong>College</strong> students has generally remained<br />
consistent. In all areas our Year 9 students have matched or exceeded<br />

3.6 Value Added Activities<br />
<strong>Loyola</strong> <strong>College</strong> publications including the fortnightly Ignatian<br />
newsletter, the annual Conversation magazine, the ex-students’ LEXSA<br />
Companion newsletter and the <strong>College</strong> website provide information<br />
regarding the <strong>College</strong>’s activities that complement the student learning<br />
and wellbeing program. The following activities “add value” to<br />
<strong>College</strong> life and exemplify how the <strong>College</strong> is living out its Vision and<br />
Mission Statement fulfilling its Strategic Plan (2009 – 2013):<br />
‣ A comprehensive Religious Education Program;<br />
‣ Retreats and Religious Education Reflection Days;<br />
‣ <strong>College</strong>, Parish-based House Masses & Class Eucharistic<br />
celebrations;<br />
‣ Seasonal Liturgies including ANZAC Day Commemoration,<br />
Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Community Memorial Masses<br />
as well as Ash Wednesday and Grandparents’ Liturgies;<br />
‣ A vertical Pastoral Care Program;<br />
‣ A horizontal, sequential Personal Development Program and a<br />
vertical House-based Mentor Program;<br />
‣ <strong>College</strong>, Full School and House Assemblies;<br />
‣ St. Ignatius Day to celebrate our charism and ethos;<br />
‣ Social Justice Groups, Youth Ministry Classes, Christian<br />
Service Programs and ongoing outreach programs;<br />
‣ A Student Services Team that includes specialist staff,<br />
psychologists, learning support staff, a Home~School~Parish<br />
Liaison and a Careers and Vocational Education Advisor;
