Funding of the Resources Inventory Committee work, including the preparation of this<br />

The Resources Inventory Committee consists of representatives from various ministries <strong>and</strong><br />

Nations peoples. RIC objectives are to develop a common set of st<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>and</strong> procedures<br />

for the provincial resources inventories, as recommended by the Forest Resources<br />

Commission in its report “The Future of our Forests”.<br />

<strong>Identification</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> Protocol for Inventories in British Columbia, prepared for the<br />

Resources Inventory Committee by M.G. Shepard <strong>and</strong> M. Lambert. Assistance for this draft<br />

manual was appreciated from the following people listed. Brenda Callan provided a synopsis<br />

of protocol for fungi voucher specimens that was most useful in the preparation of this<br />

report. Stan Orchard (herpetology) <strong>and</strong> Adolf Ceska (vascular plants) made valuable<br />
