World Famous Cable Cars<br />
Riding a San Francisco cable car is a must during your visit to<br />
the Bay Area. Try catching the Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason<br />

Alcatraz and Angel Island<br />
Now a part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area,<br />
Alcatraz Island is rich in history. Visible from Fisherman’s<br />
Wharf, the island served as a military post from the 1850s<br />
to 1933. In 1934, the government converted the buildings of the<br />
military outpost into a maximum-security prison.<br />
Angel Island, the largest island of the San Francisco Bay, offers<br />
some of the best views of the surrounding area with great<br />
hiking trails. The Island has over 100 years of military history.<br />
Thousands of troops were processed through Angel Island<br />
during World War I and World War II.<br />

have taken up residence on floating docks adjacent to the<br />
marina and have become a popular attraction themselves.
