The Triathlon team of Nicole Martyn (Swim and Run) and Alice Brown (Cyclist) was placed 2 nd in the
Senior Girls’ Teams section of the Otago/Southland Secondary Schools’ Triathlon Championships in
Cromwell on 26th February. This was impressive given the huge field of over 200 competitors and
strong competition. As it was our Athletics Sports Day, our entries were reduced in number.
At the recent South Island Triathlon Championships in Oamaru on the 8th March, Columba College
the Junior division. Shannon Edgar won the individual Gold in the Intermediate Girls’ Duathlon section
in a tightly contested race. Columba College also had the second placed Senior Duathlon Team.
