| The Loxley Municipal Parks and Civic Center is one of the many
ways the Town of Loxley shows its support and consideration for
its citizens and visitors. The park and civic center are collaborative
efforts from many of our past town councils. A large donation from
one of our businessmen in town made the civic center possible.
National Museum of Naval Aviation | Pensacola Naval Air
Station, Pensacola FL; 850-452-3604 | One of the largest and most
beautiful air and space museums in the world, 291,000 square feet
of exhibit space and 37 acre grounds outside the Museum display
over 130 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine
Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation. You can also enjoy the IMAX
theatre and gift shop. Open daily from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

251-989-7700 | The museum is open from 9 A.M. till 5:00 P.M.
Tuesday through Sunday. A low admission fee of $2.00 has been
established with the goal not to make money, but rather to
introduce the public to the main weapon the human race had for
tens of thousands of years before the advent of bows and guns.
Admission is FREE for military personnel, both active duty and
retired. Children sure to be filled with wide-eyed wonderment upon
seeing so many of the world’s animals are also admitted FREE.
Summerdale Pioneer Park | First Street, Summerdale, AL 251-
989-6202 | In the heart of Summerdale, Pioneer Park is the site of
many gatherings throughout the year. It is connected by sidewalk to
the Children’s Splash Park.
Oak Hollow Farm, Inc. | 14210 Greeno Road in Barnwell, AL;
251-928-4840 | Takes you back in time for a little rest, relaxation,
and family fun on this farm that has been owned by the same family
for generations. They offer a variety of activities for every member of
your family, such as horseback riding, pony rides, hiking, hay rides
and fishing. There are nature trails and a playground for the children.
While enjoying their down home cooking in the barn, you can take
advantage of karaoke and dancing.
Silverhill Kids Park | Silverhill, AL; 251-945-5198 | Silverhill Kids
Park is located at the intersection of 1st Street and South Ave. It has
playground equipment, picnic tables and picnic pavilion facilities.
Baseball fields and a soccer field are in the vicinity.
Weeks Bay Estuary & Native Pitcher Plant Bog | Highway
98 W., between Foley & Fairhope, AL; 251-928-9792 | Some of
the many features at Weeks Bay include; Nature Trails, Boardwalk
Trails that are handicapped-accessible, Native Pitcher Plant Bog
with Boardwalk, Hummingbird and Butterfly Gardens, Interpretive
Center—Displays of historical, archaeological, live and preserved
specimens that are indigenous to the Mobile Bay-Weeks Bay Area.
This Research and Educational Facility contains research offices,
picnic areas and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 50.
