25% Discount for Employees Using
SMC Hospital Based Services
Effective January 1, 2012, SMC employees will receive a 25%
prompt payment discount for hospital services when a
payroll deduction authorization is signed or co-insurance
and deductible estimates are paid at the time of service. The
discount does not apply to physician or clinic services.
Additionally, an automatic 25% prompt payment discount
will be applied to all future accounts when employees
covered by the SMC Waterstone insurance plan elect to have
a “Recurring Authorization for Healthcare Payroll
Deduction” form on file. (see payroll deduction for healthcare
policy) The employee discount is not applied in addition to
the existing physician discount.
