<strong>UK</strong> National Insurance Number<br />

All youth mobility scheme need a National Insurance Number (NIN) in order to work in the<br />

<strong>UK</strong>. This can often be a long and tedious process. However, we can now have it for you in just<br />

2 weeks. This enables you to begin earning money as soon as possible and helps you to avoid<br />

paying high emergency tax rates.<br />

The Youth Mobility scheme allows any person<br />

aged between 18 and 30 (inclusive) to come<br />

to the <strong>UK</strong> for an extended holiday of up to two<br />

years, with the intention of taking paid work as a<br />

part of their visa.<br />

You application must be lodged with British<br />

High Commission before 31st birthday. <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>First</strong><br />

generally advise applying at least 6 months in<br />

advance of your 31st birthday.<br />

What does <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>First</strong> do for you<br />

The Youth Mobility <strong>Visa</strong> costs AU$619. The bank<br />

account and National Insurance number are<br />

AU$75 each. We would strongly advise you to<br />

book these with your application as you will<br />

need both in order to get paid by a <strong>UK</strong> employer.<br />

How long does the visa take to process<br />

<strong>Visa</strong>s are generally processed in 6-8 weeks.<br />

NB: Please note that <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>First</strong> currently process visas<br />

only for Australian, New Zealand and Canadian<br />

citizens leaving for the <strong>UK</strong>.<br />

What are the eligibility requirements<br />

Partner and Children<br />

Applicants who are married or have partners<br />

may participate in the YMS. Although spouses<br />

or partners of YMS participants may not enter<br />

the <strong>UK</strong> as dependants, the may enter if they<br />

qualify and obtain entry clearance in their own<br />

right under YMS, or qualify for entry in another<br />

capacity.<br />

You must have NO dependent children to qualify for<br />

the Youth Mobility <strong>Visa</strong>.<br />

Citizenship<br />

Youth mobility scheme applicants must:<br />

1. Be either<br />

(a) a Commonwealth citizen; or<br />

(b) a citizen of a British Independent<br />

Territory; or<br />

(c) a British overseas citizen.<br />

NB: Please note that <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>First</strong> currently process visas<br />

only for Australians leaving for the <strong>UK</strong>.<br />

2. Not have any dependent children.<br />

3. Be able to support and accommodate<br />

yourself without help from public funds.<br />

4. Be able to pay for your onward journey.<br />

(Under the youth mobility scheme applicants<br />

must plan to leave the <strong>UK</strong> at the end of their<br />

stay. They must also be able to pay for their<br />

onward journey or be able to switch to<br />

another eligible <strong>UK</strong> visa class should the<br />

opportunity arise.)<br />

Absolutely, it is estimated that at least 40% of<br />

applications are rejected by the British High<br />

Commission not because the applicant is not<br />

eligible but BECAUSE DOCUMENTS ATTACHED<br />

ARE NOT SUFFICIENT.<br />

VISA FIRST WILL ONLY LODGE YOUR APPLICATION ONCE<br />

ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS ARE RECEIVED AS WE HAVE<br />

DETAILED ON THE NEXT PAGE. BY FOLLOWING OUR GUIDE<br />

The British High Commission are particularly<br />

strict on your bank statement.<br />

Your bank statement must:<br />

- be recent (no older than 1 month)<br />

- show evidence of having a minimum<br />

of £1800 (£1,890 from 1 July) in savings<br />

- show full name, account number and<br />

financial institution’s name and logo<br />

- have an original stamp from you<br />

local bank branch<br />

- online/internet banking statements<br />

In addition, you will need to provide a<br />

supporting letter from your bank, on<br />

company headed paper, confirming the<br />

authenticity of the statements provided.<br />

Alternatively, an electronic bank statement<br />

bearing the official stamp of the bank in<br />

question will be accepted. This stamp should<br />

appear on every page of the statement.<br />

2. VISA FIRST acts as an agent on behalf of their clients in the submission of applications for visas to the appropriate immigration authorities.<br />

3. VISA FIRST aims to process the visa application in the timelines committed to in its promotional materials. VISA FIRST will not be held responsible should the immigration authorities or<br />

any other third party change their rules, regulations or processing requirements if that change has a direct effect on the timeline for delivery. However, VISA FIRST will use its best endeavors<br />

to minimise any delay or inconvenience caused in this respect.<br />

4. VISA FIRST will always lodge the Skilled Migration application in the applicants’ best interest. We cannot guarantee a positive result on the skill assessment as the result is at the discintion of<br />

the assessor.<br />

5. VISA FIRST cannot influence: any decision made by an immigration authority; any requests for additional information before finalising a visa; any delay by an immigration authority in the<br />

issuing of a visa; or a decision to refuse to grant a visa. VISA FIRST cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to a delay in the visa process due to circumstances outside their control.<br />

6. <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>First</strong> advise applicants not to complete any health examinations (such as Chest X-ray, Medicals, Blood tests, etc) until advised to do so by <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>First</strong>. Strict procedures apply in terms<br />

of doctors authorised to take health exams, medical forms used and health results’ assessment, and applicants are given details on the above post application. Please note that <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>First</strong><br />

responsibilities are limited to advising applicants on health requirements and procedures related to applications processing, however <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>First</strong> are not part of the medical process and do not<br />

cover the medical costs involved in this process.<br />

7. VISA FIRST cannot be held responsible for expense and/or delay arising from incomplete application forms, inaccurate/false information provided or inaccurate/false supporting documentation.<br />

8. All processing times indicated on VISA FIRST materials are dependent upon the opening days/times of embassies, consulates and the offices of VISA FIRST.<br />

9. Australian and New Zealand Working Holiday <strong>Visa</strong> application may be finalized within 48 hours of lodgment. In some instances, applications may be referred to an Australian Immigration Office<br />

for further processing. Referred applications may take up to 4 weeks to finalize once all outstanding information is received.<br />

10. Should you choose to purchase any of the services offered by VISA FIRST either electronically or via the telephone and wish to settle payment for that service by either cash, bank draft, postal<br />

order, cheque, credit card, debit card or bank transfer, you acknowledge that you agree to the VISA FIRST terms of service. You acknowledge that you are responsible for any additional<br />

fees that may be required to facilitate the visa application or ancillary service including but not limited to fees in connection with medical reports, chest X-rays, court documents, couriers,<br />

certification of copies of identity documents such as passports, utility bills etc, police checks, passport renewals.<br />

11. <strong>Visa</strong> fees may need to be changed without prior notice as our prices are governed by exchange rates and changes in immigration costs.<br />

12. While VISA FIRST will endeavour to process the visa application in the shortest possible timescale, it does not provide any guarantees on how long the process will take. We strongly recommend<br />

that you do not make any travel booking until you have confirmation of your visa.<br />

13. If, after registering for the visa application with VISA FIRST you wish to withdraw visa application and that application has not been submitted to the Immigration Authorities an administration<br />

fee of £30 / €30/ CA$65 applies.<br />

14. Fees paid to VISA FIRST are non-refundable should you withdraw a visa application that has already been submitted to The Immigration Authorities.<br />

15. In case when you wish to cancel a visa that has been approved - a cancellation fee of £30 / €30/ CA$65 applies.<br />

16. Additional fees of €5 / £3 apply in cases where applicants chose ‘credit card’ or ‘laser card’ type of payment for the services they wish to apply for.<br />

17. You must travel with the same passport you hold at time of completing this application. If you obtain a new passport after your visa has been issued you need to contact VISA FIRST help desk to<br />

have your visa re-allocated to your new passport. In this case re-allocation fee of £30 / €30/ CA$65 applies.<br />

18. VISA FIRST operates a strict no refund policy for all ancillary services/ products. (In exceptional or extreme circumstances a partial refund of the Fee paid may be considered but a minimum<br />

service fee of £10 will be withheld in case you wish to cancel any of the additional products that you apply for - SIM Cards, Taxsaver packs, Work Courses, KICK Start Packs etc.)<br />

19. In the event of loss or damage to any passport or documents received, VISA FIRST liability will be limited to the actual value of the passport and documents up to a maximum of €70/ £70 per<br />

applicant. VISA FIRST accepts no liability for consequential loss.<br />

20. VISA FIRST reserves the right to return any passport without the requested if the passport or the documents provided do not comply with the requirements or if there is insufficient time to<br />

process the visa.<br />

21. VISA FIRST advises against purchasing restricted or inflexible tickets prior to visa issuance. <strong>Visa</strong> processing times shown on promotional materials are standard/average processing times.<br />

22. If VISA FIRST acts as an agent or introduces/refers the customer to ancillary or related products of other businesses, then the customer is bound by the specific Terms and<br />

Conditions of that business which may be different to the Terms and Conditions of VISA FIRST.<br />

23. VISA FIRST is entitled to include additional Terms & Conditions should the need arise. The submission of an application to VISA FIRST by web, post, fax, email, constitutes agreement to these<br />

Terms & Conditions, including amendments thereto, by the customer.<br />
