Mindful Living/Stress Management<br />

Four-week course was created for people who desire<br />

a healthier perspective on their busy lives. Learn<br />

about the teachings of mindfulness to cultivate more<br />

understanding, love and compassion in your life – and<br />

ultimately gain health benefits from a less stressful<br />

lifestyle. Teaches deep breathing exercises, stretching<br />

and strengthening exercises, Chinese Qigong and other<br />

I Can Cope ®<br />

Four-week program for cancer patients and their<br />

loved ones. Learn about cancer diagnosis, treatment,<br />

side effects, nutrition, exercise, stress management<br />

and more. Participants have an opportunity to share<br />

their concerns with others having similar experiences<br />

and to design ways to cope with the challenges that<br />

arise from a cancer diagnosis. Guest speakers include<br />

professionals in the field of cancer management.<br />

from nutrition and exercise to complications and goal<br />

Safe Sitter ®<br />

class is designed for 11-to-13 year-olds to teach<br />

safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior<br />

management skills and how to manage medical<br />

Car Seat Safety<br />

Nationally, the misuse rate of child restraints is 80<br />

percent. Learn about the latest car seat ratings and<br />

Preparation for Childbirth<br />

Our classes provide tailored childbirth education<br />

for new or more seasoned parents. Because we<br />

understand the busy schedules of many families,<br />

we offer flexible class times and a refresher series<br />

for parents needing a fast-track approach. Also,<br />

moms and dads planning to have their baby by<br />

Cesarean birth can learn what to expect before,<br />

during and after surgery in a class customized<br />

Prenatal Exercise Program<br />

Get your pregnancy off to a healthy start with this<br />

low-impact aerobic exercise class taught by a certified<br />

prenatal aerobics instructor and labor nurse. New<br />

mothers may attend up to 12 weeks postpartum.<br />

Newborn Care<br />

Learn about bathing, cord care, diapering, car seats<br />

and immunizations. Other topics include feeding<br />

Studies have shown that with regular massage babies<br />
