Hall Park. A free opportunity for families to celebrate
the lives of children who have passed away. A short

ACL Injury Prevention
Components include strength/coordination
improvement of the knee joint, biomechanical
assessment and instruction in correct technique
for jumping and landing to prevent ACL injury.
Basic Athletic Foundation – TPEP 1
Components include core, upper and lower
body strengthening, balance and coordination
skills training to provide the essential athletic
foundation.
Functional Sports Training – TPEP 2
Components include speed, plyometrics, agility
and power skills training.
CORE Training Program
Components include dynamic and static strengthening
to increase stability in the abdomen, back
and hip muscles.
Mindful Living/Stress Management
Four-week course was created for people who desire
a healthier perspective on their busy lives. Learn
about the teachings of mindfulness to cultivate more
understanding, love and compassion in your life – and
ultimately gain health benefits from a less stressful
lifestyle. Teaches deep breathing exercises, stretching
and strengthening exercises, Chinese Qigong and other

I Can Cope ®
Four-week program for cancer patients and their
loved ones. Learn about cancer diagnosis, treatment,
side effects, nutrition, exercise, stress management
and more. Participants have an opportunity to share
their concerns with others having similar experiences
and to design ways to cope with the challenges that
arise from a cancer diagnosis. Guest speakers include
professionals in the field of cancer management.

Diabetes Education
Two-session education program with topics ranging
from nutrition and exercise to complications and goal
setting. Choose from:

9 a.m. to noon at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds
and Conference Complex, 1900 E. Main St.,
Danville. Attendees can participate in free health
screenings and low-cost flu and pneumonia shots.

Safe Sitter ®
October 6 and 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This two-day
class is designed for 11-to-13 year-olds to teach
safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior
management skills and how to manage medical

Car Seat Safety
Nationally, the misuse rate of child restraints is 80
percent. Learn about the latest car seat ratings and
proper use of child restraints from a car seat passenger

Childbirth Center Tours

included in many of our childbirth preparation classes.
Preparation for Childbirth
Our classes provide tailored childbirth education
for new or more seasoned parents. Because we
understand the busy schedules of many families,
we offer flexible class times and a refresher series
for parents needing a fast-track approach. Also,
moms and dads planning to have their baby by
Cesarean birth can learn what to expect before,
during and after surgery in a class customized
just for them. Whatever your needs, we have a

Prenatal Exercise Program
Get your pregnancy off to a healthy start with this
low-impact aerobic exercise class taught by a certified
prenatal aerobics instructor and labor nurse. New
mothers may attend up to 12 weeks postpartum.

Newborn Care
Learn about bathing, cord care, diapering, car seats
and immunizations. Other topics include feeding
(breast and bottle), bonding and normal newborn

Studies have shown that with regular massage babies
sleep better, are more sociable, experience greater daily

Breastfeeding is advocated by the American Academy
of Pediatrics to promote child health, growth and
development. Classes are led by a board-certified
lactation consultant and cover topics such as optimal
breastfeeding techniques and normal growth and
