SCHOOL SCHEDULE CHANGES
It has been necessary to make some changes to the school calendar. Please make the following changes to your
calendars and plan accordingly.
1. There will be no school on Thursday, October 20th and Friday, October 21st. Originally, Thursday was a full day
and Friday was a half-day, with Professional Staff Development after lunch. Both days will now be Professional
Development Days for staff.
2. There will be school on Monday, March 5, 2012. Originally, Monday had been a Professional Development Day for
staff.
THAT YOU CAN RECEIVE A TEXT MESSAGE TO YOUR CELL PHONE Go to www.WOODTV.com and enroll your cell
CAMPBELL’S LABELS
When clipping and saving the labels, please be sure to include the whole UPC, not just the part that has a point value
to it. Thank you!
LET THE GAMES CONTINUE!
For September, the count was so close, per student, for two classes for the BoxTop$ for Education, so both the Pre-
School/Kindergarten class and the 5th/6th graders were considered as winners. The Pre-School/ Kindergarten class
won the Spartan UPC count, and the 1st/2nd grade class won for the Labels for Education. The 3rd/4th graders
received honorable mention as their counts were good this month, too. Keep bringing in EVERYTHING that will help
BCCS! Thank you for your help.
AUCTION
Saturday, November 12, 2011
Once again for our school auction, we asked each class to pick a theme and then for each family to donate items to
be placed in a basket/box which will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The class with the top selling basket
will receive a classroom prize. These do not need to be big items, or cost a lot of money. Be creative and let your
child pick items from a dollar store or make something. Each class will be collecting items during the month of
October.
5 th /6 th Grade: Nerf theme (any and all “Nerf” items)
3 rd /4 th Grade: Holiday theme (any holiday)
1 st /2 nd Grade: Game and Sports theme
Preschool/Kindergarten: Movie theme
LOOKING FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT
We are currently seeking applicants to “job share” with the school secretary. If you are interested in this position,
please contact Judy Freeman for details. Thanks!
YEARBOOK
As usual, each school (K-12 th ) family will receive one free yearbook in the spring. This year, if you would like to
purchase any additional copies they need to be ordered in advance. The cost for one yearbook was covered in
your Registration Fee at the time of enrollment for K-12 th grade families. Preschoolers will need to purchase a
yearbook if they desire one.
If you purchase your yearbook by October 3, it will cost $24. We will have another sale later in the year,
but the price will go up the longer you wait.
YEARBOOK ADS, LOVE LINES, PATRONS, AND SPONSORS
If you would like to purchase an ad, “Love Line”, or sponsor a page for the yearbook that will be distributed this
spring, you can notify Mrs. Eggers (seggers@bccsk12.com). Each of these will be a cost of $27.00 and are due by
March 1, 2012. Also, any generous donations will be helpful and very much appreciated. A donation exceeding
$10.00 will be eligible as a Patron and will be listed on a designated page in the 2011-2012 yearbooks. Thanks!
