IN THE ApRIL ISSuE of <strong>THIRTEEN</strong>, we announced the grand<br />
opening of <strong>WNET</strong>.ORG’s studios <strong>at</strong> <strong>Lincoln</strong> <strong>Center</strong>, a new<br />
production facility and broadcast studio loc<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>at</strong> the<br />
corner of 66th Street and Broadway.<br />
We are pleased to announce th<strong>at</strong> the venue has been named<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Tisch</strong> <strong>WNET</strong> <strong>Studios</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>Lincoln</strong> <strong>Center</strong>.<br />
“<strong>The</strong> <strong>Studios</strong> are a shining example of Jim and Merryl’s<br />
commitment to public television in New York,” said Neal<br />
Shapiro, President and CEO of <strong>WNET</strong>.ORG. “<strong>The</strong>ir generosity<br />
will help us to continue our mission of delivering media<br />
experiences th<strong>at</strong> educ<strong>at</strong>e, inspire and change lives.”<br />
Need to Know and Reel 13 are among the <strong>WNET</strong>.ORG<br />
productions currently taping <strong>at</strong> the <strong>Studios</strong>, and it was also<br />
the setting for SundayArts’ recent Fashion Week specials with<br />
Paula Zahn and Christina Ha. Famed sportscaster Bob Costas<br />
taped intros for our local documentary series Baseball: A New<br />
York Love Story <strong>at</strong> the new facility, and pilots for Metrofocus,<br />
Vine Talk and a new film series with New York University<br />
Professor Richard Brown are also in the works.<br />

“JOHN WAS IN LOVE with this city,<br />
head over heels,” Yoko Ono has said<br />
of John Lennon’s passion for New York<br />
City. Lennon’s life in New York with Ono<br />
and their son Sean during the 1970s is<br />
the subject of Lennon NYC (Mon 22nd,<br />
9 p.m.), a new American Masters film<br />
premiering this month on THiRTEEN.<br />
<strong>The</strong> film includes never-before-<br />
released studio recordings and concert<br />
footage, home movies, and exclusive<br />
interviews with Ono, Elton John and<br />
other artists who worked with Lennon<br />
