LIEUTENANT COLONEL DOUG BUGADO<br />
Lieutenant Colonel Harold “Doug” Bugado is the Deputy<br />
Commander, 447th Air Expeditionary Group, Sather Air Base,<br />
Iraq, located on the west side of Baghdad International<br />
Airport. The group consists of seven squadrons<br />
and group staff agencies. Additionally, the group<br />
provides support to service members assigned to<br />
base tenant units. As deputy commander, Lt. Col. Bugado<br />
is responsible for supporting U.S. and coalition<br />
forces with airlift, supplies and delivery of forces<br />
and material within the Central Command area of<br />
responsibility. He is deployed from his position as the Deputy<br />
Commander, 436th Mission Support Group, Dover AFB, Del.<br />
Lt Col Bugado was commissioned in 1990 following his<br />
graduation from the United States Air Force Academy. He<br />
began his career as a Supply Fuels Officer at March AFB,<br />
Calif. and was later selected to cross flow as an Aircraft<br />
Maintenance officer at Yokota AB, Japan. He has<br />
commanded the 437th Supply Squadron, the 437th Logistics<br />
Readiness Squadron at Charleston AFB, S.C. and the 455<br />
ELRS at Bagram, Afghanistan. Prior to his current<br />
assignment, Lt Col Bugado was the Commander, Defense<br />
Energy Support Center, Middle Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.<br />
