SELECTION CRITERIA
The criteria for selection to the post for which you have applied are set out in the following pages.
Desirable criteria may be applied from the outset to select candidates for interview.
In the box under each heading please give a clear and comprehensive account of the specific
ways in which you consider you meet these requirements. The information will be used to
assess your suitability for the post and you should ensure, therefore, that all relevant
information is included.
If you are relying on qualifications that are not identical to but equivalent to those stipulated, it is your
responsibility to provide evidence as to how your qualifications meet the required standard. Where
mutual recognition is agreed between professional/educational bodies you must obtain written
confirmation to that effect from those bodies. If equivalence is not immediately clear to the Selecting
Officers, no enquiries will be made by NIFRS and your application may not proceed as a result.
1 ESSENTIAL
1.1 Third level qualification (ie, educated to degree level).
1.2 Fully qualified accountant with current professional membership in a recognised professional
body – see below:
o Institute of Chartered Accountants
o Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy
o Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
o Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
o Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland.
