MEN’S GROUP:
All interested Men of the Parish are invited
to attend our first Planning Meeting on
Thursday, September 6th @ 7:30 PM In the
Community Room. Your Men’s Group does
not ask for membership dues and does not
have an operational board or hierarchy. All
decisions are made at these Planning Meetings
by whoever shows up to participate…a simple
majority vote rules. This is the one time, every
month, that your recommendations and
suggestions can be offered for consideration.
Hope to see you there…please bring a snack or
an adult beverage.
VOCATIONS:
Be doers of the word and not hearers
only .. .. James calls us to “doers,” living an
authentic faith that recognizes the need
to respond to God’s call. If you have ever
thought about priesthood, consider attending
the next Exploring Priesthood Weekend
retreat held on October 5-7 at Mundelein
Seminary to learn about, reflect and discuss
the possibilities of diocesan priesthood in
Chicago. For more information contact Fr.
Brian Welter at 312-534-8298 or at
bwelter@archchicago.org or go to
www.ChicagoPriest.com.
RETREAT:
“All good giving and every perfect gift is
from above.” (Second reading) Learn to
appreciate the gift God has given us through
our Marriage. Attend a Marriage Encounter
weekend to gain the tools to truly love
your spouse more and receive the joy that
it can bring. The next Worldwide Marriage
Encounter weekends for the Chicago/
Northwest Indiana area are September
7-9, 2012, or November 2-4, 2012. Early
registration is highly recommended. For
reservations/information, call Jim & Kris at
1-800-442-3554 or contact us through
