Faculty Research Questionnaire<br />
To provide every student the opportunity to participate in undergraduate research, we appreciate any<br />
information you can provide regarding your research projects/labs. Please fill out this brief questionnaire<br />
regarding your current research projects <strong>and</strong> any upcoming projects. The information you provide will be<br />
gathered by our Advising Specialist, Tricia Zerger, <strong>and</strong> then posted on our website. The students will be<br />
notified via email regarding this addition, thus encouraging all psychology majors to participate in the<br />
research experience. Thank your for your assistance while we gather this information! You input is<br />

<strong>Pediatric</strong> <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Promotion</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> <strong>Lab</strong><br />
Projects focus on the promotion of children’s health, particularly as<br />
related to nutrition <strong>and</strong> physical activity. Current projects include a<br />
grant-funded investigation of the effectiveness of Positively Fit, a<br />
family-based intervention for children with obesity <strong>and</strong> a descriptive<br />
investigation of psychosocial factors related to physical activity in<br />
pre-adolescent children. Upcoming projects include development<br />
<strong>and</strong> evaluation of a web-based nutrition/exercise educational program<br />
for school nurses.<br />
Participant recruitment, data collection, data entry, some<br />
opportunities for participation on poster/paper submissions (for<br />
advanced students who demonstrate sufficient motivation <strong>and</strong><br />
aptitude), web-design skills.<br />
