MEMORANDUM FOR DISTRIBUTION
SUBJECT: 2013 Fort Sill Intramural Bowling Memorandum of Instruction
1. PURPOSE. This memorandum, IAW USAFCOEFS PAM 215-1, prescribes the
procedures and rules for conduction the 2013 Fort Sill Intramural Bowling.
2. GENERAL. The 2013 Fort Sill Bowling Post championship tournament is scheduled as
follows:

3. ELIGIBILITY.
a. IAW USAFCOEFS PAM 215-1, Para 7, page 3.
b. Each MAC/BDE may submit two (2) teams of five (5) bowlers. If a MAC has more
interested participants, it is the responsibility of the MAC/BDE to conduct a bowl-off to
determine their best bowlers.
c. Teams will consist of five (5) individuals representing the same MAC/BDE. For
example, no one from 75 th can play with a team from 428 th .
4. EVENT CONDUCT.
a. Play will be governed by the 2013 United States Bowling Congress (USBC), unless
amended by this MOI.
b. The tournament will begin at 1000 hrs on Saturday, 7 December 2013 at the Twin Oaks
Bowling Center.
c. Champion will be determined by total pins for three (3) games.
d. There will be no handicaps used.
e. A bowler who arrives late may enter a game provided three frames have not been

completed by the opposing team. These frames may be made up.
f. A team must have at least three members present at match time to have a legal line-up. A
vacancy score of 100 points per game with zero handicaps may be used for each absent player.
g. If there is a tie at the end of the three (3) games a one game bowl–off will be conducted,
with total pins determining the winner.
h. Rosters must be submitted by COB, Thursday, 5 December 2013, to the Sports Office,
located in Bldg 4744 Mow-Way Rd, Fort Sill.
i. The draw for lane assignments will be conducted at Twin Oaks Bowling Center prior to
games starting on Saturday, 7 December 2013.
5. EQUIPMENT: Twin Oakes Bowling Center has house balls which may be used.
6. RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Fort Sill Sports, Fitness and Aquatics Branch will be responsible for the game fees.
b. Participants:
c. (1) Will be responsible for their shoe rental.
d. (2) Will be responsible for being familiar with the contents of this MOI.
7. AWARDS: Team trophies will be presented to the 1 st and 2 nd place teams. Individual
trophies will be presented to the individuals of the 1 st and 2 nd place teams.
8. Commander’s Cup points will be presented IAW USAFCOESFS PAM 215-1.
