MEMORANDUM FOR DISTRIBUTION<br />

SUBJECT: 2013 <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Sill</strong> Intramural <strong>Bowling</strong> Memorandum of Instruction<br />

1. PURPOSE. This memorandum, IAW USAFCOEFS PAM 215-1, prescribes the<br />

procedures and rules for conduction the 2013 <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Sill</strong> Intramural <strong>Bowling</strong>.<br />

2. GENERAL. The 2013 <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Sill</strong> <strong>Bowling</strong> Post championship tournament is scheduled as<br />

follows:<br />

3. ELIGIBILITY.<br />

a. IAW USAFCOEFS PAM 215-1, Para 7, page 3.<br />

b. Each MAC/BDE may submit two (2) teams of five (5) bowlers. If a MAC has more<br />

interested participants, it is the responsibility of the MAC/BDE to conduct a bowl-off to<br />

determine their best bowlers.<br />

c. Teams will consist of five (5) individuals representing the same MAC/BDE. For<br />

example, no one from 75 th can play with a team from 428 th .<br />

4. EVENT CONDUCT.<br />

a. Play will be governed by the 2013 United States <strong>Bowling</strong> Congress (USBC), unless<br />

amended by this <strong>MOI</strong>.<br />

b. The tournament will begin at 1000 hrs on Saturday, 7 December 2013 at the Twin Oaks<br />

<strong>Bowling</strong> Center.<br />

c. Champion will be determined by total pins for three (3) games.<br />

d. There will be no handicaps used.<br />

e. A bowler who arrives late may enter a game provided three frames have not been

completed by the opposing team. These frames may be made up.<br />

f. A team must have at least three members present at match time to have a legal line-up. A<br />

vacancy score of 100 points per game with zero handicaps may be used for each absent player.<br />

g. If there is a tie at the end of the three (3) games a one game bowl–off will be conducted,<br />

with total pins determining the winner.<br />

h. Rosters must be submitted by COB, Thursday, 5 December 2013, to the Sports Office,<br />

located in Bldg 4744 Mow-Way Rd, <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Sill</strong>.<br />

i. The draw for lane assignments will be conducted at Twin Oaks <strong>Bowling</strong> Center prior to<br />

games starting on Saturday, 7 December 2013.<br />

5. EQUIPMENT: Twin Oakes <strong>Bowling</strong> Center has house balls which may be used.<br />

6. RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />

a. <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Sill</strong> Sports, Fitness and Aquatics Branch will be responsible for the game fees.<br />

b. Participants:<br />

c. (1) Will be responsible for their shoe rental.<br />

d. (2) Will be responsible for being familiar with the contents of this <strong>MOI</strong>.<br />

7. AWARDS: Team trophies will be presented to the 1 st and 2 nd place teams. Individual<br />

trophies will be presented to the individuals of the 1 st and 2 nd place teams.<br />

8. Commander’s Cup points will be presented IAW USAFCOESFS PAM 215-1.<br />
