4BH – EGYPT TOUR
Day 1: Brisbane/Singapore
Sunday 10th March
Fly Singapore Airlines to Singapore. Arrive and transfer to
your hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2-3: Singapore/Cairo
Monday 11th – Tuesday 12th March
Day at leisure in Singapore. This evening departure transfer
to the airport to board flight to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo
early morning on Day 3, we will be welcomed by our
National Escort and transferred to our hotel for 1 night.
Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 4: Cairo/Aswan
Wednesday 13th March
Morning at leisure. After lunch we visit the Egyptian
Museum with its large collection of ancient monuments,
including the golden treasures of Tutankhamun. Late
afternoon transfer to board train to Aswan. Overnight
1st Class cabin.
DAY 5: Aswan
Thursday 14th March
Early morning arrival at Aswan followed by visit to the
Temple of Isis that was reconstructed on Agilika Island after
construction of the High Dam. We pay a brief visit to Aswan
city and the Aswan High Dam before checking in to our
hotel for 2 nights. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 6: Aswan/Abu Simbel/Aswan
Friday 15th March
After breakfast we drive 280 km to the village of Abu Simbel
at the southern end of Lake Nasser close to the Sudanese
border. After lunch, we visit the main attraction of Abu
Simbel, the Great Temple of Ramses II. This afternoon we
drive back to Aswan. Overnight at hotel in Aswan.
DAY 7: Aswan/Nile Cruise
Saturday 16th March
This morning we board our cruise boat for a 3-night cruise
on the Nile. This afternoon we enjoy a felucca sail around
Elephantine Island to view the Aga Khan Mausoleum and
the Aswan Botanical Gardens en route. Return to cruise
boat. Overnight on cruise boat.
Colossi of Memnon. This afternoon we cross to the east
bank of the Nile to visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor
Temple. Departure transfer to Luxor airport to board flight to
Cairo. On arrival transfer to your hotel for 4 nights.
DAY 11: Cairo
Wednesday 20th March
This morning we tour the Great Pyramids at Giza, one of
the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and The Sphinx.
This afternoon we drive to Memphis, the ancient capital of
Egypt, to visit the necropolis at Saqqara, the Step Pyramid
and the colossal granite statue of Ramses II. Overnight at
hotel in Cairo.
DAY 12: Cairo
Thursday 21st March
This morning we visit Coptic (Christian) Cairo and
Islamic Cairo, including the Salah-El-Din Citadel and
the alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Afternoon at
leisure. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 13: Cairo
Friday 22nd March
After breakfast we transfer to Old Cairo to visit the
Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can enjoy some free
time to explore. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner.
Overnight at hotel.
DAY 14-15: Cairo/Australia
Saturday 23rd - Sunday 24th March
After breakfast, departure transfer to Cairo International
Airport to board flight to Australia via Singapore. Arrive
home the following evening full of wonderful memories of
the land of the pharaohs.

DAY 8: Kom Ombo/Edfu (Nile Cruise)
Sunday 17th March
This morning we sail to Kom Ombo, a Nubian village set in a
rural landscape. After visiting the magnificent Temple of Kom
Ombo, we continue sailing to Edfu, home to the most completely
preserved Egyptian temple. Overnight on cruise boat.
DAY 9: Edfu/Luxor (Nile Cruise)
Monday 18th March
This morning we visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. We
continue sailing via the Esna lock to Luxor. Overnight
on cruise boat.
DAY 10: Luxor/Cairo
Tuesday 19th March
After breakfast we disembark and visit the royal tombs in
the Valley of Kings, Queen Hatshepsut Temple and the

Booking Terms & Conditions
Please note: You must read and understand the following terms & conditions
before booking any tours with ASIAQUEST TOURS. Terms & conditions of liability
under which the tour operates are detailed below and the payment of the deposit
or tour cost represents their acceptance by the purchaser.
To Make a Booking: A non refundable deposit of $AUD300.00 per person to
be included with the signed booking form, together with a copy of your passport.
Payments should be made out in the name of ASIAQUEST TOURS.
Final Payment: The balance owing on this tour is to be paid by cheque, cash
or bank cheque made out to ASIAQUEST TOURS at least 65 days prior to the
tour departure date.
Amendment Fees: Any amendment made to the tour itinerary will result in an
amendment fee of $150.00 per person.
International Airfares: This tour will fly with Singapore Airlines departing from
Sydney and Brisbane only and includes all domestic and international airport
taxes and airline fuel levy changers. ASIAQUEST TOURS will not be responsible
for any amendment to the flight itinerary made by the airlines.
Land Only: Land only packages do not include international flights, visa fees
and arrival and departure transfers.
Breaking Journey: Tour costs specified in the brochure are based on passengers
traveling from & returning to Australia as per the set departure & return dates.
Any changes to flight itineraries in Australia or overseas will incur a fee of
$150.00 per person.
Cancellations & Refunds: If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your trip,
the following cancellation charges will apply.
• Cancellation more than 65 days before departure, loss of full deposit.
• Cancellation less than 65 days before departure, 30% of tour cost.
• Cancellation less than 60 days before departure, NO refund.
Please note that a cancellation will only be acknowledged when it is received in
writing to ASIAQUEST TOURS.
Cancellation by ASIAQUEST TOURS: All tour costs are based on a minimum
number of participants required to enable operation of this tour. If this number
is not reached, ASIAQUEST TOURS reserves the right to cancel this tour at any
time. In this case, the amount paid by passengers to ASIAQUEST TOURS will
be fully refunded.
Tour Cost & Duration: The tour cost in this brochure is in Australian dollars and
include tour preparation, operation and marketing costs as of January 2012.
Prices in this brochure are current at the time of printing, and subject to change
without notice. ASIAQUEST TOURS reserves the right to adjust the cost of this
tour in order to take into account exchange rate fluctuations or any changes in
international airport taxes, ground arrangements and/or fuel levy surcharges.
Relevant Travel Documents: All clients must have valid passports with at least 6
months validity remaining after the tour return date. It is required that you send/
deliver a copy of your passport to ASIAQUEST TOURS at time of booking.
Please note that Australian passport holders will require visa for Egypt. Foreign
passport holders may incur an extra cost for arranging visas. You must send/
deliver your passport to ASIAQUEST TOURS 65 days prior to your departure
date, in order for us to arrange relevant visas. Failure to provide your passport
in time may result in delays, returning your final documents back to you. Your
final documents will be mailed to you.
Health & Insurance: It is compulsory for all travelers to be in good physical &
mental health. Some parts of Egypt may not have the facilities to accommodate
wheel chairs or physically challenged clients. A good level of fitness as walking,
boarding, embarking and disembarking coaches, trains and boats, climbing
monument stairs are required at many places. ASIAQUEST TOURS strongly
recommends that you visit your doctor & dentist prior to your departure. It is also
a condition of this tour confirmation that each passenger obtains an appropriate
standard of travel insurance that covers him/her for the duration of the tour
in case of medical injury, illness, death, loss of baggage and personal items,
cancellations & curtailment.
Clients will not be permitted to embark or continue traveling on this tour if, in
the opinion of ASIAQUEST TOURS or any of its representatives, their mental
health or physical condition renders them incapable of caring for themselves
or causes them to be objectionable to other clients or a potential hazard to
themselves or other clients. ASIAQUEST TOURS will not be responsible for
expenses resulting in such persons being precluded from completing the tour
for any such reason.
Share Accommodation: Single travelers have a choice of paying a single
supplement or sharing a room with someone of the same gender. Where a
single client wishes to share accommodation with a fellow single client, we
will make every effort to arrange this. ASIAQUEST TOURS accepts no responsibility
for the suitability of the rooming partner. If at any time during the tour
a client considers their rooming partner to be unsuitable, ASIAQUEST TOURS
will endeavor to arrange a single room AT EXTRA COST, subject to availability
in the same hotel.
Single Supplement: The single supplement component of the cost is specified
for each tour. Please note that whenever an itinerary utilizes overnight train
or boat travel, there is no opportunity for single supplement arrangements.
In should be noted that, in some cases, single rooms are smaller than twin
rooms.
Unused Portion of Tour: Please note that, if for any reasons client cannot or
chooses not to continue the tour for medical/family/personal or any other
reasons, no refunds will be made to the client by ASIAQUEST TOURS for the
unused portion of the tour/journey.
Advice on Overseas Travel: We strongly recommend that, prior to making your
booking, you review & familiarise yourself with the travel advisory service
provided by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade by visiting their
website (www.smartraveller.gov.au) or by calling 1300 555 135.
Tour Cost: The cost of each tour is based on current international exchange
rates. ASIAQUEST TOURS reserves the right to adjust the cost in order to take
into account exchange fluctuations prior to tour confirmation or any changes in
international airport taxes, ground arrangements and/or fuel levy surcharges.
Possible Changes or Delays: A number of factors may affect our planned
itinerary. While we will make every effort to operate according to plan, ASIA-
QUEST TOURS reserves the right to alter itineraries at short notice in the interest
of the traveler, the local people or the environment. ASIAQUEST TOURS will
not be held responsible for changes to itineraries resulting from actions taken
by international or domestic air carriers, cruise operators or railway operators
for whatever reason.
Special Requirements: Any special requirements must be brought to the attention
of ASIAQUEST TOURS by the client at the time of booking this tour.
Complaints or Claims: In case the client is not satisfied with the tour at any
time, he/she hereby agrees to inform the local guide or tour escort immediately
so prompt action can be taken to resolve the problem. If actions taken by tour
escort or guide still do not result in client satisfaction, the passenger agrees
to contact ASIAQUEST TOURS in Sydney by telephone or fax. If the client is
still not satisfied at the completion of the tour, then he/she agrees to provide
details in writing to ASIAQUEST TOURS within 15 days of returning home.
Law of Contract and Responsibilities: When booking with ASIAQUEST TOURS
I/WE are aware that the proposed tour, in addition to usual inherent dangers
and risks, has certain additional dangers and risks. These may include: physical
exertion for which I/WE may not be prepared, weather extremes subject to
sudden and unexpected changes, remoteness from normal medical and emergency
services and evacuation difficulties. I acknowledge that the enjoyment, excitement
and personal development potential of the proposed tour (being reasons
for my participation) are derived in part from its inherent risks.
I accept all the risks of the proposed tour and the possibility of personal injury,
illness, death, property damage or loss resulting from my participation. I agree
that should I suffer any personal injury, illness, death, property damage or
loss, then ASIAQUEST TOURS or any of its staff may on my behalf and at my
cost, arrange such medical treatment, evacuation or other assistance as they
consider appropriate. I also agree that any liability on ASIAQUEST TOURS is
limited to a maximum tour cost. By entering into this agreement I am not relying
on any oral, written or visual representations or statement by ASIAQUEST
TOURS or its staff & licensors or any other inducement or coercion to participate
in the tour. I confirm that I have read & understood this agreement prior to
signing it. This agreement shall be subjected to the laws of New South Wales
& I submit to the nonexclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.
