Our Community of Volunteers
After Bill White recovered from injuries he sustained aboard the
USS Coral Sea in 1953, he knew he wanted to say “thank you”.
He found his chance in 2006 when he started to volunteer at the
Lebanon VA Medical Center. Now, he’s a permanent fixture in the
Veterans Activity Center. He volunteers every day of the week, except
Monday. “It’s my way of paying back,” Bill says, “We can never do
enough for the men and women who endure so much so that the
rest of us can be free.”
