physician residents in a
variety of disciplines including
medicine, surgery, hospice,
internal medicine, cardiology,
neurology, ophthalmology,
hema tology/oncology, podiatry
and family practice.
Many residents state that the Lebanon VA is their favorite internal medicine rotation in the
HMC resident program!
never forget residency - the long hours, loads of paperwork, overnight shifts. But we also
remember the people who mentored us; the attending [doctors], support staff, and patients. The attending

physicians are the best teachers I’ve encountered in my medical education. The VA support staff - nurses,
social workers, therapists, nutritionists, housekeeping - all of them back us up on the front lines. The
patients are an amazing group of men and women, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to serve them.
It’s the least I can do to thank them for protecting my freedom. Rotating at the VA is without a doubt one
of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as a Hershey resident.
