Concept of Jain NRI Parichay Sammelan
With the opening up of greater opportunities at a global level in the 21 st century the youth of the Jain
community have begun to see beyond the boundaries of India in pursuit of higher and quality education
abroad or better options for work or business. This has resulted in substantial number of Jain youth
studying, working or even permanently settling in various countries all around the world. They, however,
are looking for suitable life partner within the community from India. These candidates do not have either
the time or the required information for the selection of life partner from India who is willing to align to
the thought process of the NRI.
With a view to assist such candidates from our community, Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana, a non profit, non
political social organization with a National footprint and International recognition, established in 1985
under the leadership of Shri. Shantilal Muttha has taken an initiative of conducting a Parichay Sammelan for
all NRI Jain Candidates and Indian candidates willing to marry Jain NRI’s .This sammelan will provide a
broad platform for prospective Brides and Grooms residing out of India and in India to find a suitable match
for themselves.BJS has over 25 years of experience in conducting Parichay Sammelans all over the country
and the methodology of conduct of such sammelans is unique. We at BJS are committed for betterment of
the community through a large network of social programs, one of them being Parichay Sammelan.
Venue of Conduct of Parichay Sammelan:
This NRI Parichay Sammelan will be conducted in the picturesque city of Pune which is famous for its rich
cultural heritage and also called the “Oxford of the East”. The Sammelan will be conducted at a prominent
star hotel with good ambience and soothing environment. It will be supported with latest technology and
conducted by highly professional personnel trained by BJS.
Terms and Conditions for Participating in the Jain NRI Parichay Sammelan:
1. Categories of Candidates eligible for Parichay Sammelan:
This Parichay Sammelan is strictly for Jain candidates of the following categories
a) Candidates settled permanently abroad
b) Candidates with short term work permit and working abroad
c) Students studying abroad for higher education
d) NRI Candidate willing to marry candidate from India
e) Indian candidate willing to marry NRI candidate
f) NRI Candidate willing to marry other NRI candidate only
2. Educational Qualification Eligibility:
Only Professional Graduates, Post Graduates or above in any discipline are eligible to take part in this
Parichay Sammelan.
Divorcee, Widow/Widower, Physically Challenged candidates should not apply for this Parichay
Sammelan.
3. Documents required with the form:

5. Entry for Parichay Sammelan :
A. On completion of registrations a confirmation SMS / Email will be sent by 10 th December to the
candidates stating whether the candidate’s application is accepted or rejected.
B. Three persons will be permitted for the Parichay Sammelan.(candidate plus two persons)
C. Any extra person apart from the 3 persons will not be allowed under any condition.
D. Physical attendance of the registered candidate who is in India is compulsory for the Parichay Sammelan.
Parents or Guardians will not be allowed for the Parichay Sammelan even after registration if the
Candidate is not personally present for the Sammelan.
E. NRI candidates not present in India should send a DVD introducing themselves along with the registration
form. (Refer Point 6 below).Parents or Guardians of such NRI Candidates will not be allowed for the
Parichay Sammelan if the NRI Candidate fails to send the DVD before 15 th December 2011.
F. NRI candidates present in India must attend the Parichay Sammelan in person. Parents or Guardians of
such NRI Candidates will not be allowed for the Parichay Sammelan if the NRI Candidate does not attend
the Sammelan.
6. Method of Preparation of DVD :
The DVD should be prepared with the following parameters.
• The DVD should be approximately 3 minutes long
• Only formal English language to be used in the DVD (slang to be avoided)
• The background in the video should be white in color.
• The voice should be clear and audible with neutral accent.
• The video shooting should be taken at a quiet place or preferably at a recording studio.
• The DVD should be made in appropriate format. (e.g. .mpeg/.avi/.vob)
• DVD more than 3 minutes will not be accepted

9. Reporting at the Venue:
• Reception desk at the venue will open from 8.00 am on 25 th December, 2011.
• Please collect your kit at the reception desk. The kit includes a Booklet and a DVD free of cost
furnishing details of all registered candidates.
• Parichay Sammelan will begin sharp at 9.30 am
10. General Information:
• Candidates present for the Sammelan will be called on stage for a short interaction.
• Lunch will be served at the venue. Breakfast and Dinner will not be served.
• Accommodation will not be provided by BJS. You are requested to make your own accommodation
arrangements.
• Please keep a copy of this form along with you for your reference.
• We request you to spread the information about this Parichay Sammelan in your community network for
the benefit of desirous candidates.
• It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide accurate and complete information to BJS in the
registration forms.
• BJS only introduces the prospective bride and groom to each other. Fixing up the alliances and
gathering of additional information about prospective life partner is the responsibility of the candidate
and their family themselves.
• The final decision regarding accepting or declining the registration form lies with BJS Management.
